Did anyone catch the WSBK races from Silverstone today ?,it was fantastic stuff. At last something for us Brit fans to cheer about.Mr. Crutchlow has surely done his chances of getting that Tech 3 MotoGP ride no harm at all after those performances.
Regarding Abraham,I don't dislike him nor do I blame him for taking the ride that daddy has paid for.I just think its a bit sad when there are far more deserving riders out there.I don't think Abraham has ever won a race in the lower categories (can't remember even seeing him on the podium come to think of it ?).I do like the way you pick your favourites though Chris, makes me laugh :)
Pedrosa should still be in orange next year as Repsol (Spanish Oil Company) are his personal sponsors and that is their colour.
Pedrosa's my favourite (he's not going to have that orange bike next year though is he? D;) and I like Rossi's "The Doc" outfit, thought it was ironic (why is he called The Doc?)
Moto 2 rider Karel Abraham has been confirmed as a privateer Ducati rider in MotoGP for next year.He may seem a very strange choice as he has hardly been the class of the field this year in that series but as his daddy owns the Brno circuit he is apparently willing to pay for his new toy !
And yes, Enter Sandman, awesome song.
The sort of point of my post is that Tech 3 Yamaha (satellite team) rider Colin Edwards looks as though he is to leave MotoGP and return to the World Superbike Championship where he was twice world champion and generally bloody awesome !.He last raced in that series back in 2002 where he and (the now retired) Troy Bayliss went into the final found with only a single point separating them.Have little look at this ,Edwards is the white Castrol Honda Bike (number 2) and Bayliss is the red Ducati (number 1).World Superbike fans will welcome his return while it will obviously free up a seat in the MotoGP series.Oh yeah the clip is set to Metallica's Enter Sandman so it's all good ! :)
Hope this helps mate.
Colin Edwards looks like he's heading back to WSBK with Ducati while Kawasaki are rumoured to be after Haga for 2011 (surely Tom Sykes deserves to keep that ride ?).Loris Capirossi seems set to stay in MotoGP with Pramac Ducati while several sites are reporting that James Toseland will not be retained by Yamaha's WSBK squad for next season ?.Whatever happens it's looking like there's going to be big changes in the rider line ups for both series next year.Hopefully a couple of our WSBK boys will get MotoGP chances in 2011 as it's looking like there will be a few seats available (Tech 3,Suzuki etc.).
If you do a restricted licence you could get one of these, then after two years you can get what you want.
Getting the bike licence is probably one of the best things I've done, it makes getting to work easy too!
