Sounds painful :P Actually sounds more trouble than driving a car. And when you said swerve test, I imagined something along the lines of slide with a 'fake dive' to practice falling off or something, but watching some footage, it doesn't look that hard (easier said than done- sky diving's extremely easy to do, but you wouldn't get me up there).

Awesome!
Learning is a bit complicated........
If you do your CBT you can ride around for 2 years on L plates on a machine up to 125cc, though if you want a bit more power and you're over 17 you can do a restricted licence, you still have to do your CBT, but then you go through and take a test which will allow you to ride around on a machine of up to 33bhp (250cc ish) for two years, and then the restriction is lifted and you can ride anything you want!
The test is split into a mod1 and mod2 - mod1 is off road and covers bike control, emergency stop, the DREADED swerve test among other things, then mod2 is on road proving that you're not just gonna ride into everyone else on the road!
Here are the people I learnt with - I know you're miles away, but the law section explains everything pretty clearly so it should help a bit!
And more on Topic.....
I think we all knew that Spies was going to the factory squad at some point, and it's looking more likely it will be to partner lorenzo. Apparently Rossi and Burgess are not allowed to play or help with the 2011 machine until their futures are sorted out, which I think is going to be announced after Brno.........
I didn't get what the site was telling me. Do you just do your CBT, and then you ride around with an L plate on (not indefinitely obviously :P)
You'll be wanting to do your cbt next!
Did you hear the commentator yesterday literally wishing death upon Rossi? They were on the giro cam on his bike and the commentator said "It would be interesting to see that if the bike rolled 360 degrees, would the giro cam stayed upright through the crash?"
I see F1 sank to even lower levels again yesterday, don't know why anyone bothers watching it anymore TBH.
British Round of the World Superbikes is next weekend from Silverstone with surely a real chance of a home winner, really looking forward to that.
I hate Lorenzo *full stop*
