It was a horrible crash Chris, wouldn't recommend watching it. He was unbelievably unlucky, he seemed to lose the bike and where in 99.999% of cases the rider would simply slide off the circuit in this case his bike seemed to find grip and fired him into the path of Edwards & Rossi, both of whom hit him at speed. With all the increased safety we have seen introduced into the sport in recent years (improved run off areas, air bag suits etc.) the one event a rider cannot be fully protected from is being hit by a following bike. This happened in the case of Tomizawa in Moto2 and Craig Jones in WSS. Sadly, pretty much the same thing happened to Sic today. I'm gutted, as I mentioned on here a few times I was a big fan and was really looking forward to seeing him on the works Honda 1000 next year. Marco was a very exciting rider to watch on track and very funny and extremely likeable bloke off it.

Heard news that Simoncelli died in his race today?! Would appreciate some confirmation as I can't quite believe it. I'm not a huge fan of MotoGP, but it's a sport, things like that always knock you for six when they happen, especially for such a young and talented rider, and at his height and with his fantastic hairdo, he was such a recognisable character. Am gutted to say the least.

Marquez has confirmed he is to stay in Moto2 next season. Think it's the right call, his accident in Australia proved he still has a bit to learn.

Laverty was bloody quick on that Aprilia, think Max better start worrying.

Moto2 and race 2 in WSBK were without doubt the highlights of today's 2 wheeled action. Seen the pictures of Lorenzo's injured finger earlier, ewwww!!!!!, he's out for Malaysia and doubtful for the final race at Valencia. Don't think he would have stopped Stoner taking the title this year anyway TBH. Just 3 points separate Marquez and Bradl in Moto2 now, that championship could go either way.

Checa is staying with the Althea team after Ducati apparently stepped in to stop him accepting a big money move to BMW Italia. Chaz Davies is moving to WSBK with his ParkinGO team and will also be on board a Ducati. Leon Camier however has stated he will not be with the works Aprilia squad for next year but is hoping to remain in WSBK. I wonder what is going to happen to those rather lovely factory Yamaha R1's?, if any private team could possibly buy those he would be an excellent choice for a rider IMO.

Marquez is to start at the back of the grid as punishment following this crash in morning warm up. Apparently he started a hot lap after the chequered flag had been thrown and piled straight into the back of a slowing down Willairot at turn 3. Bloody lucky he didn't kill someone, think he got off lightly TBH. Anyway it looks as though Bradl has just been thrown an enormous championship lifeline.

I wouldn't know mate as I don't generally associate with such riff raff! :P

If the highlights of the BSS are shown anytime on Eurosport I would well recommend watching them. Seeley & Wilson are totally different characters with completely different riding styles on different makes of bike, yet there was absolutely nothing to choose between them all year. It was always going to seem extremely unfair to whichever of them lost out. With the top of the briiliant Moto2 championship table currently only being separated by a single point perhaps all series should run 600's?!?

Sorry it's taken so long for me to be sociable on this thread again....

Really wanted Hopkins to win, but after last year's near miss (and his performances this year obviously), Tommy Hill is a well worth the title - wonder if WSB beckons for him?

Didn't have time to watch all the supersport races which was a little disappointing!

With the GP this weekend, I'm expecting Stoner to win by a lap (or two ) and walk away with the title. Hopefully the Ducati can get somewhere near the podium as well. Really disappointing that all the different seasons are coming to an end......

Looks like Laverty may be on his way to Aprilia? Not sure what would mean for Camier? PATA are going to be running 2 bikes next year so I suppose either of them could in theory go there. Personally I would like to see Camier get a bike he can actually fit on!
