MotoGP to come to Wales?
Just had a quick scan over the article - could be really good - I'm not really sure what Dorna look at when considering venues, I think it's now just about how much money they're prepared to pay! So if the cash is there.......
Assen on BSB 2012 calendar! :S
I guess this is a good thing, increasing visibility of the brand and that sort of thing, I don't really know ..... I'm sure the racing will be good.
Looks like we might be getting Gino Rea in Moto2 next year, would love to see him get the chance.
Cool, the more brits running up the front in the championship the better.
I take it you've read that Suzuki have confirmed they've left GP's for a few years, and that Hopper is now in WSB with Crescent. Good for WSB (and camier to have a team mate, rather than a stroppy italian in the garage next to him!), bad for MotoGP. Can't see that in 2014 when suzuki plan to return that their bike will be up to the pace of the others - but accordingly to the ezpeleta man it'll be a production based championship by then anyway.....
London are welcome to the Olympics if we can have a Welsh round of MotoGP! Be honest, can't really see it happening though. If we are really being considered for a second UK round I would imagine that Donington would get it now that it's operational again.

Well there's 3 things I totally wasn't expecting.
In other news Visordown are reporting that Bradl is about to sign for LCR Honda while Ant West will be on board Speedmaster's CRT bike. Presume that means Iannone will be staying in Moto2 then as that team was built around him and it's run by his father? Looks like he wasn't joking about not being interested in a CRT ride then?
Regarding CRT, unlike some people I am actually all for it. I would prefer to see a grid of 25 evenly matched bikes rather than watch the series dwindle to just a handful of competitors due to the escalating cost of the sport. As for running with the MotoGP class next year that's a difficult one. The only CRT rider you could really use a benchmark is Edwards and he's injured. Hope some bikes don't end up as mobile chicanes at the tail end of the grid, think they might though. I'm surprised more highly rated younger riders haven't expressed an interest in competing on one TBH with the series due to go to running those bikes from 2013. Good, coffee break friendly article here if you're interested. De Puniet has said a definite no to riding CRT and is chasing the Suzuki ride (if there is one?) While Iannone now seems to suggest he would sooner stay in Moto2 rather than race one? Understand De Puniet's decision (but really hope he's able to stick around for a few more years) but if someone like Iannone turns down the alleged offers he has had (according to Italian press he has had 2) then that's a strange choice IMO. He's young & fast with many years ahead of him. Surely having a year on one of those bikes would be a huge advantage come 2013? I'm not interested in the politics of it all, I just want to see more bikes out there with the rider not superior machinery making the difference. The ideas behind Moto2 have worked perfectly, that series has shown the sport the way it needs to go IMO.
The Gresini team did point out that Bautista was using Aoyama's bike for testing, I guess we'll wait and see whether he ultimately gets to play on the HRC bike or not.
I pretty much assumed Shakey would stay at HM Plant because he 'won' the points race this year, so I was a bit surprised too! They sound quite optimistic about chances of the ZX10 for next year -Tom Sykes didn't do bad when he wildcarded in BSB afterall - but it's a bit of a tyre eater and they don't get much in the way of electronics in BSB next year!
Quite looking forward to see the CRT teams in GP next year, I really hope they're not too far off the pace!
PBM have announced their plans for 2012. Shakey & Easton will ride their ex-WSBK Kawasaki's in BSB while Ellison will ride their CRT bike in MotoGP. Apart from Easton (who will hopefully be fixed by the start of next season), that announcement was a big surprise to me.
Oh and whoo I didn't come last in Fantasy :D Thanks Butch! :D
