Laguna Seca & Jerez are on the WSB calendar for next year, good stuff but the Silverstone MotoGP round is to be held in September...
Tommy Hill apparently has a chance to race in Paul Bird's CRT team in MotoGP next year as well as a couple of possibilities in WSB, presume his old Crescent Suzuki team and Ten Kate Honda? (if Rea leaves). Would like to see him get a chance to race at international level again, he's certainly good enough.
Apparently, Danny Kent has got a good chance of riding for tech 3 in moto2 next year. For a french team, they're very british!
Hope he gets it, it'll be good to have another british rider there or thereabouts in that championship. Now, if only danny webb could get a decent bike...
Didn't know about Danny Kent's potential move, that could be good news, hopefully Tech 3 will actually get around to developing that bike for next year.
Regarding Danny Webb, looks like he has got a better ride for next season.
Very interesting interview with Scott Redding he really needs to get on a bigger bike for 2013, if there's no chance of a prototype perhaps CRT or even WSB could be an option for him? Hope it happens as I really rate him and another year struggling in Moto2 might not be his best long term option. Some of the comments on that article are quite amusing as well!
Probably should have clarified what I meant by saying that I thought GP was a letdown, I was referring to the race and the championship being effectively over half way through lap 1. I was chuffed with the result though, both for Rossi & Bautista as neither have had the easiest of seasons. I don't have anything against Bautista but I don't want to see him do too well as I'm hoping either Rea or Redding are going to pike his ride!

GP was a bit of a letdown
Really? I really enjoyed it - though maybe that was more sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for the front wheel to fold on the number 46!
Harsh for Pedrosa really, unless Barbera wants to even it out and take lorenzo out next time I think it's all but his championship.
Great ride by that washed up old has been Rossi (jokingly referring to the piles of ill informed crap I have seen posted on certain sites over the last 18 months)
No better place to do it either. Apparently the new swingarm and chassis allow for greater geometry changes which meant the bike worked ok. Hopefully they'll be able to replicate it for the last few races. Being 5 seconds off the winner at the end of the race is probably something ducati have been dreaming about for a fair old while!
Jonny Rea did very well IMHO, some people are saying he was thrown in at the deep end. I would say a more accurate description was that he was thrown into a shark infested pool, with fresh meat strapped to his body while wearing concrete shoes as someone was ringing the dinner bell!
Well described! Steve Parrish said if he doesn't crash and finishes in front of the CRT bikes then he's done great. That's what he did, I think his goal was more just not crashing so I can't see that he's done anything but really well.
It was nice that the BBC gave him a bit of airtime before the race as well (I think it's more than Ellison has had all season from them!).

I seriously hope they have TBH as there's 4 really good guys on Desmo's next year all of whom should be running somewhere near the front.

Jumping back on the superbike for next weekend before returning to try and get to grips with the GP machine a week later is a massive ask.
Rea seems to be doing everything correct so far, racking up a collection of destroyed RCV's isn't going to impress anybody. I agree a top 10 finish would be a massive achievement but it doesn't look like the weather is going to make things any easier for him this weekend. With that Gresini ride apparently still available (reports seem to suggest Bautista will not be staying with that team next year) this really is his big chance.
Don't know if you knew but Smrz is BSB bound (from Assen onwards), he can be a bit erratic at times but he is fast. He's a very welcome addition to our domestic championship IMO (seems like a nice bloke too!).
GP practice today, looks like the first two sessions were a little damp so it's only really the crt guys, abraham and rea who have been out. I think Rea wants as much time as possible on that bike!
I think a top 10 this weekend for him would be an impressive result. I wonder what'll go wrong with Spies' M1 this week?
Special mention for Leon Camier, he was fantastic this weekend on what isn't exactly the most competitive bike out there. It was a bit disappointing seeing Tom Sykes really failing to capitalise on Melandri & Biaggi hitting their self destruct buttons, doubt he's going to get many more chances like that this year.
As for Assen BSB, I'm looking forward to the races but the showdown, grrrr..... If anyone other than Tommy Hill 'wins' the title this year it will be an absolute joke IMO as he's dominated. However if Shakey manages to return from injury & nick it I suppose that would make up for the one that he should have won last year.
Chaz Davies gets factory BMW ride!
Chaz Davies certainly justified his factory ride at the weekend!
Good races in WSB this weekend, sometimes seemed that no one actually wanted to finish. Biaggi rode well in race two with his 'bin it and fight back through the field' strategy.
Not read anything about it, but Sykes seemed to have a few issues in both races which Neil Hodgson was convinced wasn't tired related...
BSB was good too, managed to watch the supersport as well (I really want one of those triumphs). The 'awesome' showdown system is in play now - will be good to see how the bikes all go at Assen. It should be quite close as no one is going to have any data for the track.
