Sega recently shelved all it's GC sports titles in development due to poor performance of its GC titles.
Now one of the big hitters THQ has thrown doubt on the viability of developing for the Gamecube due to the more expensive (non standard discs) developement costs, but mostly to do with the GC continued poor performance particularly compared to the PS2.

"Our GameCube portfolio did not perform up to expectations," CEO Brian Farrell said during the conference call. "In response to this, we have reduced the number of products in development for the GameCube platform."

Identity mix-up!

You're an idiot! You're the only person who seems to make a deal about changing a disk ONCE!
I know nobody who has problems with it, you have a break every now and then while playing games, it's literally a 30 second break...

I'm going to allow myself to be smug and say that this post which I am quoting here is the reason I am a notable, and Blank is not.
What you have to ask yourself is, Why is GC not doing better?
Even if you take GC in joint 2nd place with XBox, it is still a garden mile behind PS2.
Ok, so PS2 had a head start, but even now, PS2 is still selling more units than GC. If GC were really that great, and most people didn't mind disc shuffle, lack of dvd, etc, etc, etc, etc, they (Ninty) should be taking over from PS2. People would be trading in PS2's in very large numbers for GC's.
So no, it's not redundant. For the boss at Ninty, it''s a center stage issue.
It's literally the same as putting a game in...
A 10 hour game, you have to change the disk once in the middle of it, is it really gonna ruin the game? It will if you play the game for 10 hours constantly with no breaks but people rarely play the game solidly with no breaks at all...
You just get wound up DaveRJR/Update2.01/Update and seem to think that swapping disks is a mega issue when really, it doesn't affect gameplay at all..
And once you've changed disks you just coninue using that one instead.
It's a redundant point really Updated.
Very boring.
