Cheers - but what you've actually shown me is the key-thing you can use to force the game-tray open with, which is bad.
The actual flip-top lid is below it - and comes with the boot discs bundled in, so you're work may cease.

On the chipping thing, i have had mine done actually and it lasted 4 years, which judging by the stories i've seen in here in the past is about 2 years longer then the average lifespan so i think i've done pretty well. Just had to play on my japanese PS2 until i get another one

Well mate, what i done was basically bought a Japanese Ps2 which sits in my lounge, American Ps2 sits upstairs on my bed and Uk Ps2 beside my Pc to play online :D
