My personal favourite theory, that explains everything about the man called Jesus, is that he was a time-traveller. Think about it. Some mystical bloke, giving it all "that" with extra sass - I'd be pretty lairy if I'd just time-travelled. Healing the sick with modern and future medicine. And he's white. The first time-traveller (if the End of Days hasn't come like you're cheerily predicting) will probably be some white-bred American bloke, so he'll be well-versed in the Bible. It's a good theory, don't knock it. Expect to see the film. Soon. Starring Mark Wahlberg as Jesus. And William Shatner as God. Probably.

He tried, bless him, but failed...

*L* Yeah, so you can run away, and repeat what you've already said. You're funny Gump. And it's funny watching you get angrier that you're not being taken seriously.

I was always taught that Mary was told by an angel that she was to carry christ. I've never heard of this "dream" Sounds like a weak justification to me. God is a rapist.

Firslty God is not going to 'pop' up today, He will send His Son Jesus to take His Believers so they avoid the Tribulation. Actually Mary had a dream about carrying Jesus and she accepted it, hence she had no problem with it.

'Christians' believe God sent His Son Jesus to die for the whole world's sins, but only those who trust in Jesus have Eternal Life. They believe with the Tribulation now closer than ever before Jesus must surely return quickly. 'Jews' believe that Jesus was a prophet, 'a great man' - some say, but NOT the Son of God. Some of them have been told wicked stories about Jesus, which is why they hate Him so much. The Jewish people are looking for their Messiah, most have rejected Jesus who came in the Lord's name, yet their Messiah will come in His own name, namely the Anti-Christ. I, however am still Jewish and believe in Jesus, I follow the festivals of Judaism because they hold Biblical patterns for prophetic events throughout the Bible. I am not Jewish in religion, but am in background, I also believe in Jesus. People often struggle with this concept, but it is no different to a White or Black person accepting Jesus, they are still White or Black! The same principle applies to me.

Really, only ONE part of God's plan was the human race, we are the last thing He Created on day six (He rested on day seven) and was only interested in human life on this Earth. I do not believe there is life on Mars, because God never tells us He Created life there, I could be convinced, but a water droplet that was there '100 million years' ago obviously does not apply. Having said that as God is infinite He could have Created humans on all planets and still been everywhere and watched over us all. We are special, because God Created us, but even more special in the sense Jesus died for us, this is how special we are to God. Even today with the 6 billion people in the world, God sees all and hears all.

Yes, don't get God wrong He is terribly angry that man allowed sin into the world. Just like you would be in your example. God is very angry, BUT He was so gracious He actually has given us away out of condmenation if we choose to accept it. That is by trusting in Jesus who died for sin. IF you believe in that you can be saved, this shows God's immense grace. He could have wiped us all out once and when He has had righteous anger He has destroyed the world by a flood except for Noah's family, burnt up Sodom and Gomorrah and will put this world through Tribulation for seven years soon.

> 4. Which came first, the Jew or the Christian?
Jewish people have descended through Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (like myself). Abraham was the first Jew and to signify this God changed His name from 'Abram' to 'Abraham'. He was promised the land which of course Israel now has and will keep for eternity in the Kingdom of God, where the city will be entitled, 'The New Jerusalem'. Christians only started with the early church 2000 years ago, when people began to worship Jesus. To be saved before Jesus you had to atone for your sins, now you do not have to atone for your sins, except believe in Jesus, because He Himself has atoned for sin on the cross and that was suffecient.
Did they both find
> Jesus at the same time?
The early Church was all Jewish, except for a few Gentiles. For the first 250 years there was a good proportion of Jews in the Church, then the Gentiles killed the Jewish Believers in the Crusades and other attacks like it.
And what was the deal with the three kings?

King Herod actually sent three Magi people to deliver the gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh, on his behalf. These were a gift to mother and baby and really signified the joy that the King of the Jews was born.

All done. ;)
After rwading all of these religous crak enduced threads I had a couple fo thoughts...
1. If God poped up today, I'd like the guy to explain his justification for rape. The guy conceived with a girl/woman without her knowledge or consent. In todays society, this would be classed as "Date Rape".
2. Im a little confused over the whole christian/jew thing. So you can repeat the same answer you give to everything else?
To be honest Forest Fan, most of us are bored with that. We want real answers.
