Or God for that matter. He made us in His image and the earliest Humans were from Asia, so they must have been yellow/brown/whatever skinned. Yet, every Bible printed, every religious image in the Western world shows him as a white man. Why is that? Do you think it could be some subtle form of manipulation for us Honkys? The whole region of Bethlehem, Jerusalem, etc., is in the Middle East area, and I don't see no white folk about. Could it be that the Bible my old school gave me and forced me to learn from was lying to me?

My personal favourite theory, that explains everything about the man called Jesus, is that he was a time-traveller. Think about it. Some mystical bloke, giving it all "that" with extra sass - I'd be pretty lairy if I'd just time-travelled. Healing the sick with modern and future medicine. And he's white. The first time-traveller (if the End of Days hasn't come like you're cheerily predicting) will probably be some white-bred American bloke, so he'll be well-versed in the Bible. It's a good theory, don't knock it. Expect to see the film. Soon. Starring Mark Wahlberg as Jesus. And William Shatner as God. Probably.

The Bible holds all the answers surrounding Jesus.
It's all you've got to go on.

Thanks for clearing that up, the Bible holds the answer to most of the surroundings about Jesus as this passage shows. :)

To set the record straight (I hope), all this about Mary being visited by an angel in a "dream," I decided to go to the authority, the Bible.

Luke chapter 1, verses 26-29: "And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favored, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be."

Nowhere does it say that the angel appeared to her in a dream. He did appear to Joseph before Christ was born and after (Matthew 1:20-21, 2:13,19-20)

Remember, it's not what we're taught (or possibly remember incorrectly), but what the Word of God says.

The one about the time-traveller? Yes it does, it makes perfect sense, if you think about it.

On what grounds?
And since when did Herrod send the wise men?
What Bible have you been smoking? The wise men visited Herrod for directions, and he asked them to return, but the decided against it after being warned in a dream to stay away.

I'm a catholic, and as a catholic we are supposed to follow the bible's teachings but recently there has been new findings of scriptures that were apparently written by Jesus on his last days, but that are not recognised by the Catholic Church so not a lot of people know about them and this has totally changed my thoughts of my religion, I just personally feel it's all a conspiracy to keep the truth from the people.

Monkey_man's theory does make sense though.
