The Playstation 2 (PS2 for short) is the worlds most powerful games console, its 10 times as powerful as the original Playstation which means that the graphics and sound are simply amazing.

This means simply that your investing in the future, every major developer is now producing games for the PS2 and already the PS2 has some great games released for it. But as they say the best is yet to come with GranTurismo3, MetalGearSolid 2, Silent Hill2, WWF Smackdown 3 and the Getaway sure to be big hits when they’re released later this year.

So how do you define a Hardcore gamer's machine? Surely some people that you would classify as a 'casual' gamer own Dreamcasts.
The term 'hardcore gamer' is a bit daft really, isn't it. Are you trying to say that if you play more games you can't have a PS2 or PSX to play them on? Why because they're successful?

If you're going to say that Phantasy Star is different as it has a different plot, then how can you level criticism at the Final Fantasy series?
Each of those have different plots, and run on different engines. The battle system has developed with the series, and each game manages to add something new.

Hi there everyone and I must say I believe both of your crummy consoles are c**p. Is the latest Championship Manager available on either of them ??? - NO
This for me means I will not be buyin either of them. Now the xbox theres something worth buyin, cm4 will be coming out on it !! This is a major factor in my decision to wait for an xbox and not buyin either Dreamcast or ps2. There will also be sega programming for them and many other big names.
In my opinion though I have to say if posed with the question would you buy a dreamcast or a ps2? i would have to say Dreamcast as I think there are a lot of fantastic games and in many cases I believe the graphics are actually superior to those on the ps2.
