This machine truly takes you to the peak of interactive entertainment; it not only plays games but also has a built in DVD player, which allows you to watch DVD movies. The Playstation 2 is now destined to become even more popular than its predecessor, having sold a staggering 10 million units in only 5 months. This means simply that your investing in the future, every major developer is now producing games for the PS2 and already the PS2 has some great games released for it. Such as Zone of Enders (Z.O.E.), Timesplitters and TekkenTagTournament. But as they say the best is yet to come with GranTurismo3, MetalGearSolid 2, Silent Hill2, WWF Smackdown 3 and the Getaway sure to be big hits when they’re released later this year.

So you are biased against one console then and without a good reason. Interesting!
Why is the gaming industry buggered up?
What is wrong with so called 'casual gaming'?
It seems to me that the gaming industry needs these 'casual gamers' because they are providing a lot of funding for new projects. They are providing a wider market insuring the survival of the gaming industry.
It also seems apparent that 'casual gamers' are not PSX and PS2 exclusive, they are as multi format games. I see no problem with this.
Why do you blame Sony?
Why do you complain so much?
And finally, are you the sort of person that will dodge questions such as these?

Jeez, how pathetic are you, boy? The gaming industry is bigger and better than ever, and that's a direct result of the original PlayStation. If Sony hadn't done it, someone else would have.
This bull about 'hardcore' and 'casual' gamers is complete tripe, used by those who somehow want to sound superior to others; and it usually results in pathetic arguments like this. Your argument is also severely flawed simply due to the number of multi-format games available, which now include Sega.
Games are games whatever platform they appear on. If there was such a thing as a true 'hardcore gamer', they would only be interested in games, pure and simple - not the platform they appear on, as gameplay is the all-important thing. You clearly could not be a hardcore gamer if you tried, as you are far too fixated on the platform used.
Now toddle off back under whichever rock you came from, and take your delusions with you.
Gamecube will basically be an N64 but with better graphics and hopefully more games.
I think not.
You see, you obviously can't accept that your beloved Sega have been overtaken by Sony, and that the PS2 WILL be a great console and it WILL have great games.
Also, if you say, "PS2 owners aren't hardcore games," once more, I will get the whole of FOG onto you, and I will also explain to you why I think YOU ARE THE CASUAL GAMER AROUND HERE!!
Casual gamers can't accept it when a console that they don't own is doing well.
Casual gamers are very biased.
Casual gamers will never ever admit that their favoured console/company is doing badly.
Now who does that sound like???? YOU!!
So be quiet, cos me and Meka can't be bothered with you when we could be having sufisticated arguments on FOG.

No Pagey.
Yes you are.

So how do you define a

Maybe, but they are probably the people who rag it.
The term 'hardcore gamer' is

No, it isn't about how long you play games for it is WHAT GAMES YOU PLAY! I couldn't see a casual gamer playing all the way through MSR for example.
It's the same pathetic arguement that some

NO. The PS2 is only popular 'cos the majority of people are casual gamers.

If you're going to say that Phantasy Star is

Because there are TOO MANY Final Fantasy games. 11? THat is ridiculous.
Each of those have

BUT THERE ARE TOO MANY.
Stop talking crap Meka and Ant.

Yeah, but you go on about the PS f**king 2 for absolutely ever.

I suggest you remove those blinkers. You

NO A HARDCORE GAMER ONLY BUYS ONE CONSOLE AND STICKS TO IT. PLUS, A HARDCORE GAMER WOULDN'T BUY A PS2 ANYWAY.
