The Playstation 2 (PS2 for short) is the worlds most powerful games console, its 10 times as powerful as the original Playstation which means that the graphics and sound are simply amazing.

The Playstation 2 is now destined to become even more popular than its predecessor, having sold a staggering 10 million units in only 5 months. This means simply that your investing in the future, every major developer is now producing games for the PS2 and already the PS2 has some great games released for it. Such as Zone of Enders (Z.O.E.), Timesplitters and TekkenTagTournament. But as they say the best is yet to come with GranTurismo3, MetalGearSolid 2, Silent Hill2, WWF Smackdown 3 and the Getaway sure to be big hits when they’re released later this year.

I'm not gonna bother replying, as MGS2 is ALOT better than 'good'.
One more thing, a few games are on Dreamcast, and also, the PS2 versions of Unreal Tournament and Quake 3 are better than the DC version and we will very soon be able to play it across the Internet.
Also, go to gamespot.com and check out their list of PS2 games. Then you'll know what you're missing.

Ant, If you go on www.dailyradar.co.uk and looks at their ZOE review they say that it is truly over-hyped and repetitive and they recommend you give it a miss. I DO have access to a PS2 'cos my mate has one and I get to play on it whenever, really. I don't though because I honestly don't like any of the games for more than an hour.

And no, Starfighter isn't worth getting a PS2 for, but is sure is a great game!! A PS2 is worth getting games like MGS2, GT3, ZOE, Starfighter, DOA2, Devil May Cry, Soul Reaver 2, Tekken 4, Shadow Of Memories, Crash Bandicoot 4, Resident Evil Code Veronica, Crazy Taxi 2, Unreal Tournament, Quake 3 and many many more.

PS2 IS A HARDCORE GAMER'S MACHINE? NOOOOOOOOO. It is about 90% casual gamer. A hardcore gamer wouldn't be interested so much in DVD playback. That's why Gamecube doesn't have it and Xbox will only have DVD playback if you buy the remote. This is because Microsoft said that they are aiming the console at HARDCORE GAMERS.
