Had a site open earlier on my browser it said ''Simoncelli masters wet Ass'' my colleague leaned over my shoulder and said ''I've always had my doubts about you!'' Really need to get a wider monitor, those extra 2 letters would have made the world of difference!
As for Alex Lowes, surely both him and brother Sam have got futures racing in either WSBK or MotoGP.It will be a fantastic opportunity for him to get some experience playing with the big boys.
Just read that Loris Baz may have ridden his last race for Motorpoint Yamaha due to personal sponsorship problems. That would really suck as he's in my Fantasy Team and the transfer window is shut.
Won't post any MotoGP results on Saturday, scouts honour!
EDIT : Ducati are not actually breaking the rules they are just flexing them a little bit! :)
Alex Lowes is to stand in for the injured Jonny Rea for the next WSBK round at Brno.Talk about being thrown in at the deep end!,nevertheless it's a fantastic opportunity for him. Also Aoyama is to ride Pedrosa's Repsol machine at Assen this weekend.
I'm surprised they chose him instead of Shakey - maybe they see Lowes as something for the future, whereas Shakey is that little bit older!
With Aoyama riding pedrosa's bike, it means a honda test rider is on the other gresini bike - if their test rider is anything like the Yam one who stood in while Rossi was out last year, they may as well not bother!
Not sure what to make of Rossi's new bike - I think Ducati have been very clever / may have cheated in testing, with the GP12 frame.
It sounds like they're using the GP12 chassis (which Rossi has been testing for next year), with the 800 engine - not entirely convinced they're allowed to do that. I don't really care, if it means another bike keeping up with Stoner et al at the front then I'm all for it!
Going to be working on Sat, so I'll have to watch the GP in the evening - no posting until Sunday!
WSBK was good, encouraging to see Tom Sykes up there again.Shame about the crash but it was still a very good showing from him.
Remember the Assen MotoGP races are on Saturday this weekend.
In case you were looking to increase your GP ticket collection
Ha ha,that made me laugh, yeah intending to buy tickets and hopefully actually get there next year!
I also picked the very impressive Mr. Lowes for my Fantasy Team as soon as his MSS one race deal for Thruxton was announced. As it's unfortunately looking like Easton is going to be out for quite a while I suspected that once he got to show what he could do on that bike the team would swiftly get him nailed to it for the rest of the season.Apparently Rea's hand and wrist injuries are much worse than first diagnosed, really hope that doesn't mean he gets overlooked for a GP ride next year.If there's going to be more bikes out there in 2011 I was really hoping he would be on one of them.
Just read that 6 new teams have already signed up to run 1000cc GP bikes next season.Bradl & Iannone are 2 names being constantly mentioned as riders linked to moving up to the premier class next year. The series could do definitely do with a few more machines and I just can't wait to see Iannone and Simoncelli banging fairings!
Yeah, I saw something on the BBC about this too - Good news definitely - Scott Reddings Marc VDS team are mentioned in there too, and there's been a lot of talk about them wanting to keep him for the GP class. Next year's looking promising already!
In case you were looking to increase your GP ticket collection - you can get discounted tickets for next year's GP via the silverstone website - only £52 for general admission - beats the £72 it'll go up to soon!
It's transfer window time too - I've gone for hopkins and lowes in BSB and replaced Rea with Melandri, so expect a sharp decline in their respective results for the rest of the season!
