Yeah, I forgot about haga in BSB, should be good - did you see Kiyo has ended up racing in the asian 600 series? There's a bit of debate as to whether that's a promotion for him or not!
Really looking forward to the no electronic aids of BSB this year, the local team (MSS colchester kawsaki) have got Rutter riding for them this year, so I think they'll do well - I wonder how Haga will deal with the mountain at cadwell?
I like the team name - it shows confidence! Though I fear the eventual winner has just submitted a request to join the league......
Accepted the entry of double Freeola Champion Mrs. Numnut (against my better judgement!). I have made a few last minute team changes following the news of Lavertys hand injury (apparently he may not race at Philip Island?).
Think the Kiyo 'promotion' is an insult TBH, OK the guy didn't have the best year in 2011 but he deserves better than this IMO.
Yeah Rutter is a sound choice for the MSS team IMO, he's still fast and very professional. In the wet I wouldn't rule him out for race wins on that bike. As for Haga over the mountain, lets just say that I can't see that being boring!
Looks like Josh Brookes is going to sub for Hopper next weekend, which means the first corner should be interesting at least! Seriously though when he stays out of trouble Brookes is fast, be interesting to see how he fairs against Camier on the same machine.

Yeah, looking forward to WSB and of course one Mr. Haga making his full time debut in our little domestic series.
Good news about the Duke, been keeping an eye on the situation over the winter myself. Most of all the series really needs them to be up there this year. Shame for Hayden screwing his shoulder up though, if he doesn't perform this year I reckon it could be his last in GP's. Hope that's not the case though as I really like the guy.
Will check out the Eurosport link, cheers for that.
At least I'm guaranteed 2nd this year :-D
Not quite........If pete would be so kind as to approve me, I'll be joining too (had a few days off otherwise I would've been here sooner!).
Firstly for Pete - if you're still using Eurosport player - the MCN have got a special deal or something. Don't know what you're paying for it now, but they say its cheaper, have a look here.
All getting quite exciting with first few rounds of testing out the way - the ducati 'doesn't handle like a barge' anymore (according to Rossi), so GPs might be a little more exciting this year - Tom Sykes is pushing on in WSB and Hopkins has yet another hand injury (so does laverty by the looks of things too).
Roll on end of feb for the first wsb round!
Any forum member is welcome to have a go if they want to, the more the merrier. Can always use the lucky dip feature if you know as much about bike racing as I do about football.
Rossi finishing 2nd to Sebastien Loeb in the recent Monza Rally was an amazing achievement. Goes to show he can do given a machine that can actually turn into corners!
Can't see that in 2014 when suzuki plan to return that their bike will be up to the pace of the others - but accordingly to the ezpeleta man it'll be a production based championship by then anyway.....
I would not be all that surprised to see WSBK & MotoGP merging in the not too distant future. Suzuki have been in GP's for nearly 40 years and finally looked to be getting their bike sorted after a few years in the doldrums, yet had to bail purely on cost issues. Sponsorship is getting harder to come by and that is not going to change anytime soon. Making GP machines production based is blurring the line between a protoype MotoGP bike and superbike. Although some people are very strongly against the series going in this direction I think that it's probably the right thing to do. If it was not for the CRT machines we would be looking a grid of about 11 or 12 bikes for 2012, hardly the pinnacle of 2 wheeled motorsport! A few years ago there was a very similar situation in the US with the Indycar & Champ Car series and although many people said that they would never and could never merge, they ended up doing exactly that. The fact that Suzuki have now quit both WSBK & MotoGP but are saying when the new lower cost rules are in place will return says everything really doesn't it? It all sucks a bit TBH, but it would appear that the series may need to introduce drastic cost cutting changes in order to survive.
In the mean time I'm sure that Moto2 with some fast Brits taking on the likes of Marquez, Iannone, Elias, De Angelis etc. will keep us all entertained next year.
