Yeah WSB was brilliant! I only watched the WSS race this morning - that was a really good ride by Sam Lowes, nice for him to get his first win at home too (maybe he could let haslam know what that's like!).

WSB more than made up for the lack of racing last time out - it was more like a crazy moto2 race than anything else. I'm sure the races seem more exciting with Jack Burnicle getting over excited when commentating though!

The last corner of race 2 I guess is just a really unfortunate 'racing incident'. Melandri went all out for the win, and if he hadn't have done that then haslam wouldn't have gone wide and rea wouldn't have bumped him as he pulled it back, but each of them would have tried to fit in a gap (or make one) had they been in different positions.

Ultimately, really harsh for haslam, good for rea and sykes and awesome for us to watch!

As well as hickman did last weekend, riding for another manufacturer without permission from your current team is never going to end well!

From what Jack Valentine was saying Hopper may be out for a while so Hickman may get a few more goes.

Just read that Peter Hickman has been fired by MSS for not having their permission to race for Suzuki in WSB on Sunday. Thought he went really well in race 2, especially considering the bike is hardly the class of the field and he had never seen it before the end of last week. If reports that MSS really were getting his services for free and that they had not offered him a solid contract to race in BSB this year then it does seem a little harsh to sack him to me?

Well, WSB certainly made up for the Monza letdown!

Been reading some interesting comments on the final corner on Race 2 yesterday. Think the whole thing is blown a little out of proportion by some TBH. Melandri certainly started it the corner before and seeing as BMW were heading for another very likely 1-2 it does seem a little strange to me that he would have attempted such optimistic moves on his team mate. While most people seem to be blaming Rea, I don't think he really did anything wrong TBH. Melandri's lunge's from a different postcode opened up a gap and Rea unsurprisingly went for it. Got to feel sorry for Haslam though, he was most definitely the innocent party. 2 corners from the end and any 1 of 4 riders could still have won but none of them seemed to want to settle for second place, that's just how racing should be IMO. Occasionally things like this will happen in those circumstances, doesn't look like there's any hard feelings as apparently Rea & Haslam met up for a beer afterwards (there was no mention of Melandri joining them though!). Miller Park next, historically Checa owns that place so he'll be looking to close the gap at the top of the championship...

Sam Lowes was fantastic in WSS, especially after his crash in qualifying on Saturday (have you seen the pictures of his finger after his hand got stuck under the bike?), brilliant stuff.

I probably should have clarified what I meant by Monza WSB being a joke, sorry about that.

While I totally agree that Race 1 had to be stopped on safety grounds I think that the whole scenario surrounding it was just crazy. You have the teams blaming Pirelli (who apparently made a dry tyre & a wet tyre but nothing for anything inbetween) while Pirelli are blaming the teams for not telling them what they wanted. This really shouldn't happen at international level motorsport IMHO, remember the F1 race at Indy a few years ago?, all but 6 cars pulled in after the first lap because one of the tyre suppliers hadn't brought a tyre that worked around the fast banking they have around there. Gunitoli's Liberty team will be at Donington but without their main sponsor, it's not known if it's a one off protest or if they are serious about pulling out the series altogether? That team runs 4 bikes in WSB and for them to bail would be really bad for the series.

I think you're spot on with your assumption on Brakegate, I too suspect that Dovi has some clause in his contract that gives him access to certain factory parts but I found the fact that Cal stated that he wasn't going to get the brakes anytime soon to be a touch concerning TBH. It just seems a little bit unfair to me to put such a vital upgrade onto 3 of the 4 bikes.

WSB was a joke, Guintoli's team have now apparently threatened to pull out of the series after he was unable to start Race 2. Overall it was a real shame as I reckoned Sykes would have been well up there in all conditions as he was absolutely flying. I was really hoping that Shakey would get the chance to ride the spare works Kawasaki at Donington this weekend but it looks like he is to take Ellison's place on the CRT bike at Le Mans instead.

I can see why they cancelled race one, don't really know what went on in race two. Certainly sykes was managing ok at the front...

Moto 2 & 3 were both epic but the GP was a bit of a letdown.

Le Mans is often wet, so I'm hoping it'll be back to normal next time round!

Didn't see the Moto3 this week though. Most of time moto2 is the better event. I don't think there's going to be much between marquez and luthi this year...

With 'brakegate', I'd imagine Dovi has some clause in his contract regarding new parts - he has come from a factory team after all, so will be used to having the newest components. I can't imagine he's bought them though, that just sounds stupid! (though so did rossi to ducati when he was winning on the yam...).

BSB was great, having Chris Walker in my team proved a really good choice!!! Great ride from him though, and from Haga too in the race on Sunday, shame he couldn't carry on riding like that on Monday as well.

Kirkhams crash was horrible, really thought he'd be a lot worse off than he was. (you probably saw it) he was interviewed on Monday and said he is a bit concussed and bruised and that's about it. Amazing, he looked like he'd be broken in to tiny pieces as he bounced around in the air fencing!

Moto 2 & 3 were both epic but the GP was a bit of a letdown. I'm finding 'Brakegate' rather concerning though, did you see Cal's interview with Matt Roberts on the BBC after qualifying? Not only has he not got the new Brembo calipers he reckoned that he is not due to get them anytime soon. Steve Parrish reckoned that Dovi had bought them himself although he has apparently denied that in an interview on Italian TV. Whatever is going on it would appear that Dovi is getting some kind of preferential treatment at Tech 3, is he the unofficial third works Yamaha rider then?, if so then surely Cal is doing enough to get the same treatment? If not he should just run in the back of him and then blame his inferior brakes!

BSB was good, horrible crash for Jon Kirkham on Sunday but great to hear that he is OK (ish). I was chuffed to bits for Chris Walker though, he was incredible and totally deserved that victory.

So with Guintoli & Kirkham both in my MCN team I'm afraid to look at how badly I've done this weekend!

Apparently so! Cal was third in FP2 as well!

Ducati's again looking strong in mixed conditions, shame they don't seem to be able to transfer that speed to dry race pace at the moment.

I thought the dukes were matching the others until I saw FP1 was wet! Surely they'll come up with something soon. I'd love to see what Stoner could do on the GP12, just to see if it is the bike...

Sergio Gadea has been announced as replacement for Lascorz in the Kawasaki WSB squad, seems very strange to pick a 125 GP rider for that job?

He's done a bit of moto2 as well, so it won't be as much of a shock!!!

Don't forget that there's an extra BSB round at Oulton Park this weekend, not sure when it's going to be shown on Eurosport though, must keep an eye on that.

Sunday afternoon is literally just racing on eurosport, the listings suggest (it's never that accurate with eurosport!) that qualifying will be live around half 12, then race one will be on around 3-4 ish (I'm being vague so it's not my fault if you miss it!) - the sky box is all set to record everything for me, so barring loss of signal, or eurosport randomly deciding to show some biathlon I should be good!

...something, a while ago...now it's nearly time for the next GP!

GP was really good, popped onto a couple of Italian sites earlier and it would appear that they seem rather surprised at how our Mr. Crutchlow currently seems to handing their beloved Dovi his behind on a plate. It's too early to get carried away but I think that it's fair to say that he has been seriously impressive this year, Lorenzo stated earlier today that he believes that Cal is the most improved rider this year

Cal is doing really good so far - in both the races he's looked really comfortable on the bike and it's just worked. It's great to watch, but it makes watching the GP so much more nerve-wracking!

Not sure what is going on with Ben Spies though, he's been hopeless, we know he's good, we know the bikes good so I'm not sure what's going on there?

The ducati riders have got an excuse - no one does that well on their bike, but Spies has got one of the best bikes available and is still 'wobbling' round towards the back, I don't think Yamaha will be too happy if that carries on, maybe they just send him out on wets or something!

Fantastic ride by Scott Redding in an action packed Moto2 race and a very impressive ride by Romano Fenati in only his second ever GP start, reckon we'll be seeing quite a bit of that guy in the future, hard to believe he's only 16. Reckon I'll be adding Moto3 to my watch list this year.

Again, watching redding ride that well was great but awful at the same time! In the Gp extra program on the BBC he did say it was push for a higher place and crash or settle for fourth. I think last year he would have gone for a higher place, so clever riding from him.

The Moto3 is looking just a good as 125s/moto2 - Fenati did very well, I couldn't believe how many crashes there were though. I also thought that Kornfeil had made the save of the season, until he binned it on the astro turf!

If Cal gets another top 6 this weekend, then I think he's gonna have a hell of a season! WSB too - this is more like it!
