Hmmm... young Marquez looks like he's carrying that scarily fast Texas pre-season testing pace into the race weekend. Looks like he's going to take some catching...
Don\'t know if you knew but there\'s been a fire in the Tech3 garage, apparently done quite a bit of damage. Also affected the factory Yamaha garage as well as LCR and 1 of the smaller teams (think it was Abraham\'s?).
Hadn't heard or seen anything about this - I'll have to have a read about it later on. Hopefully it's not going to cause too many issues with practice or the race.
Good that Tommy Bridewell is alright, it looked pretty bad on the TV. I think there was a nasty one in supersport as well but I haven't found anything about that yet - though I've not looked that hard.
What with Laverty crashing out at the weekend I'm not in a very good position in our little league...
A couple of things surprised me about Chaz, one was how aggressive he was at the start of race 1, the other was once he hit the front he was able to just effortlessly clear off.....Lorenzo style! I agree Laverty would have run very well had he not hit problems and the championship has an awful long way to go yet. That BMW does look scarily fast in a straight line though, be interesting to see it at Monza later in the year!
I suppose Mr. Schwantz could always buy a ticket like the rest of us! Hopefully all that political rubbish has been sorted and he'll be there this weekend, haven't heard any news of that sort though.
Yesterday\'s racing was good, couple of awesome rides by our very own Chaz Davies. As Neil Hodgson stated in the commentary yesterday, how can BMW not give him equal status to Melandri now? It\'s not very often us Welsh fans have something to get excited about but it looks like we may have a genuine WSB title contender this year.....tidy!
Boy did good didn't he! 2 really convincing wins for him - I think laverty would have made it more difficult for him if he'd stayed on in race 2 but that takes nothing away from davies.
Gutted for Sam Lowes though, he was really unlucky
I enjoyed the WSS more than the superbike races, lowes looks really happy on the yamaha and to drop back to 4th and catch up to take the lead again was great to watch.
BSB was good as well, Shakey became the winningest (yes I believe that is a word!) rider in the series history. As for Kiyo (the guy who\'s record he broke), he\'s starting to look a bit like wobbly rubbish 2011 Kiyo again
Kiyo does look a bit like wobbly rubbish kiyo again doesn't he. Real shame he's not up there as yet, but he could just as likely win the next three weekends (he probably won't though)!
Keith Farmers crash was a lucky escape - do you know what happened with Tommy bridewell after race 2 was red flagged?
I think I might find a way to fit shakey in to my fantasy team this year...
GP should be good, I've got no idea whether Schwantz is allowed in or not. Considering he got chucked out at the official test, chances are the same'll happen if he tries to get back in for the race. I'm sure he'll try to be there though!
Gutted for Sam Lowes though, he was really unlucky. On the plus side he did put in a hell of a ride, he looks really good on that Yamaha.

As for Kiyo (the guy who's record he broke), he's starting to look a bit like wobbly rubbish 2011 Kiyo again... Hopefully he can turn things around, would like to see him back up the pointy end again. Doesn't look like there's much wrong with the bike, his teammate's flying on it.
BSS race was epic, that championship is going to a real battle.....as usual!
Looking forward to Texas MotoGP this weekend, that track looks awesome. Do you know if Kevin Schwantz is still barred from attending the event?, thought that was disgraceful (if it's true and still the case).
GP was awesome, looks like we've a got a real fight on for the championship. It was great to see the 'old Rossi' back and it looks as though that young upstart Marquez might be something a little bit special after all, have to say though he rode amazingly last night. Bradley Smith had an unfortunate race but over the course of the weekend he didn't fare too badly. Did you see the Iannone slo-mo's in free practice?, that bike was moving in just about every direction bar forwards!, really hope he clicks with that Duke, I like him a lot. As for Cal, how fast was he in practice?, surely Yamaha will have to give him a factory spec machine at some point this year? Can't wait for Texas it looks a fantastic track, although the Honda's were ominously fast there in testing...
BSB was really good as well as was the BSS, that's going to be hell of a championship this year. Everything looks so close this year in all categories, just what we want!
...and no sign of that team orders crap which has already blighted some other championship!
I really expected Redding to win the Moto2 race, I thought he'd be able to 'sneak' through with his elbows before the end. Second isn't a bad result though and that was one hell of a race.
Apparently, that italian guy who everyone wrote off can still ride a bit. I wonder if he'd have won without those few mistakes at the start?
For once, that was a really exciting GP that (I thought) wasn't overshadowed by the Moto2. I really hope that's how the rest of the season goes as well.
Shame for Cal, but he was never going to out brake Rossi was he? A good performance though, which proves (despite all his moaning) that his M1 is more than capable of playing with the factory guys.
Did enjoy the BSB too, but didn't quite manage to see all of race 2 though I saw the result.
Not a bad start to the racing season really!
I think you're right, it's going to be a bit more exciting this year! I read this morning that Rossi did that whole session on one set of tyres, so spending most of it on top is pretty impressive - a bit of a shame that lorenzo nicked it at the end.
It was good to actually see Marquez on the GP bike as well and suprising to see Dovi near the top.
FP2 and 3 tonight, then 'new' qualifying tomorrow (and BSB is back!).
