X-Box and PS are both squarly aimed primarily at the middle market...
This is the market where the cash is... though no-one single middle market games-player will ever buy as many games as a single hobbyist gamer...
The number of middle market players is where the money is...
And given the cost of producing a console, and titles capible of competing in todays market the Nintendo wont have enough buyers cash to make this possible...
There may be one more full size console left in Nintendo... but its future is left only as a handheld machine...
(at least until Sony & Microsoft dicede to attak the market)
How does- "the PS2 and

They wont fail i was just provoking a response
I think the 'Cube will succed because its the only machine made by a games company, Sony and Micrsoft arent games companies.
Simple as that.
And my argument wasnt that Nintendo wernt producin a great games machine...
More that their market strategy outside Japan is fundementally flawed.
Its a straegy that would have worked if Nintendo and Sega were still the two top dogs...
However the arena has now changed. Games take a great deal of money to create, far too much for them only to appeal to a limited fan base... no matter how adimant they are of the machine superiority.
Top games cost several million dollars to produce... not even a company like Nintendo can afford not to be making a profit when development costs are soo high. Though they might well have enough not to collapse... they will probably 'downgrade' like SEGA... moving wholly into the handheld market...
The quality of the machine and options avalible have no value if the machine isnt appealing to the target audience. And the target audience will find more appeal in the PS2 and X-Box than in the kiddies Nintendo Pokemon machine.

PseudoSavant... with regard to
Nintendo have never let me down before. I've always loved the innovative style and their love for pure gaming, much more than any gimmicks that they could have sold out to. They learnt that lesson back with the NES and the various addons that were produced for that.
What use was that robot thing anyway? If you had a good imagination it may have been like playing games with No.5 from short circuit, but when you actually used the thing it did hardly anything at all! Perhaps someone could re-create it as a new type of furby (only more robotic) that played games with you and had phrases like 'hey, that's not fair', 'I'll get you for that', 'you cheated!' and my favourite, 'Best out of 3?'
Now Nintendos prices are going to be lower. Loads of people in my school are now going from having a PSX and not liking N64 to hating PS2 and are going to get a Gamecube.
X-Box will definately fail. They have to sell at least 30 games to everyone with an X-box to even make a profit. And there games are going to be pretty expensive.
These are just some of the reason why Gamecube will NOT fail.
Nintendo have lasted for over 110 years!
I don't think they'll fall easily!
