Okay, how about this. For a small fee (we're talking a low low price here) a month, you get a number of small perks on the site (edit posts etc.) but the main draw is you get your own forum, and the only people that can post in it are decided by you. So no more spamming fools coming in and messing up your cultured discussion of the Iraq situation/boobs.

Obviously there'd be other perks too, but it's just an idea floating around in my head? Anyone interested?

I like this idea. Depends on how much £ and how it would work.
Do you mean 50 different forums by whoever coughed up?
It'll get confusing to navigate if we have, in addition to the existing forums, another however many just because someone paid for it.

You seem to be missing the point, from our point of view.

Just have Notables with their own forums.
That way we can monitor our own, be Mods if neccessary and you can see who posts in who's and turf out the Notable with least visits/conversations when it comes to Elections.

Make it Special Reserve members only, that way you wouldn't have to administer the 'small small fee' which would probably cause more overhead than revenue.

Quick bit of coding would be required to make you sign on with your username, password and membership number, but the benefits are HUGE. EVERYONE would sign up for SR membership, and it would encourage me to renew all the time, especially as I could then edit my poshts.
