Okay, how about this. For a small fee (we're talking a low low price here) a month, you get a number of small perks on the site (edit posts etc.) but the main draw is you get your own forum, and the only people that can post in it are decided by you. So no more spamming fools coming in and messing up your cultured discussion of the Iraq situation/boobs.
Obviously there'd be other perks too, but it's just an idea floating around in my head? Anyone interested?

Sounds like a good idea to me....but £2.99 a month seems a bit too expensive!

And now I'm off to watch Platoon in surround-sound and eat a massive fry-up my lady has prepared.
Then I shall be going to Hoxton tomorrow to start recording, out on the lash with the FLC tomorrow night and the rest of the week spent recording and dossing about.

Fair point. Ok, I'm all for a unique forum but not at the expense of it being too high a price. Anyway, the plan is in its' infancy at the moment so we'll see what others say...

I don't know that it would realyy work that well...
It sounds ok but you would lose out on the good newbies that appear as well and you do get good posts put in by occasional users who would probably be put off by the fee.
I think you should let Goaty pay you the money and then let him be a moderator / ban hands so he could just remove the crass stuff that gets put in here - or better still give him the addresses of the half wits so he can visit them in the wee small hours with his pointed stick.
