Is it Future Publishing that are responsible though? I mean, they release loads of magazines every month with no problem, it sounds like its more to do with the writers and magazine designers etc...

Hows that work then. It's not like it can tell you've played it twice?

It's so you play it twice and get a feel for it, start to like it and then BAM.......you can't play it anymore. You can't even go over the bits of the demo you've done to decide if you like it, you have to buy the game. Or the Oasis CD.

Why would people do that? Is it cheaper to make discs that only play twice or are they just mean:(

My guess is that you have to get a certain distance (ie one 'screen') ahead of your opponent and then you get a point, 5 points wins the level or something along those lines.

Sounds like a good disc this month, and if I don't get it tomorrow I'll poo myself.

Also, here's something I've been thinking about. I saw an advert on TV a while ago for a free Oasis CD in a paper, and at the bottom it said "Four tracks only playable twice" or something. I was just wondering how long it'll take before developers start demanding this sort of thing with demos.
It wouldn't go down well with me - I like to play demos over and over occasionally. Sometimes I play demos that are years old. :)

Tekken 4- Not sure what the you can do in the demo but it's playable.

Ratchet and Clank- Your able to play in two whole levels on this demo. Great game and a massive demo (Played it for over an hour).

Red Faction 2- It appears there are the choice of three missions on this demo.

Burnout 2- One lap around the pacific course.

Superman- Pants demo in which you must save hostages in a science lab. Hmmm.

Micro Machines Oddysey- You get the choice of 3 game modes (Race, checkpoint and 'get a screen ahead of your mate'.) There are 3 tracks on Race, 1 different one on Checkpoint, and i'm not sure what the other mode allows you to do. Each mode does give you 4 characters to choose from.

Summoner 2- Seems you start at the start of the game and I played it for 30 mins proggresing all the time, but i'm not sure how far you can go on the demo.

Ferrari F355- You can choose Arcade only, but you can race Monza or Nurbergring on either 'Track Learner' 'Practice' or 'Race'.

Hitman 2- Great demo, you can play the full first level and there is no time limit to the demo. You can keep playing over and over aswell even if you die, and there is no need to keep reloadin the demo up.

Platinum- Crash Bandicoot 5- Two levels on this demo. One where he is rolling in a ball and the other in the snow.

Also footage of The Getaway, Bounty Hunter, Shox, and more.

Hope that helps. It's worth the purchase this month.
