"PS2 or X-Box"

I'm going to have lots of money soon and because my PC sucks I think I'll buy my first console... hurrah.

Not a Gamecube because I don't want to play crap like Pikmin and Lugi's Mansion.

So Playstation 2 is cheaper than X-Box but not as good and has pretty good games.

X-Box is one big beast but Microsoft made my PC crap and it costs a lot.

So what should I get... give me good reasons and prices and stuff please?

Emm, to be quite honestly fair, the Gamecube has the best games available out of the big three at the moment, unless your going to buying all of the old PS2 games.

Sure the PS2 back catalogue is good, but in terms of innovation and shelf life, I feel the PS2 is already past it's best. With games such as Mario, Zelda, Metroid et al. soon to hit the Cube, it's easily the best console to get for someone just enetering the market.

I have a PS2 and I'm getting a GC.

As long as you don't get an X-Box it's cool. :-D

Really I'd go for the GC, and if you call Pikmin crap again I'll kick your head in. ;-)

Get a PS2

The actual console may be the same price as an X-Box but overall its cheaper.
The PS2 will play DVDs stright out of the box without having to buy and extras.
Games start from £9.99
There are LOADS of titles out already
Most of the games that are on the X-Box are already or will soon be coming out on the PS2.
Chances are you mates will have a PS2 so you can borrow their games.
It plays PSone games so you have even more choice.
Oh and you can store food in the hole in the back too

XBOX. No particular reason, apart from that it's the best.
