"PS2 or X-Box"

I'm going to have lots of money soon and because my PC sucks I think I'll buy my first console... hurrah.

Not a Gamecube because I don't want to play crap like Pikmin and Lugi's Mansion.

So Playstation 2 is cheaper than X-Box but not as good and has pretty good games.

X-Box is one big beast but Microsoft made my PC crap and it costs a lot.

So what should I get... give me good reasons and prices and stuff please?

I was going to save up for Les Paul or SG but I'm too crap to play such a lovely guitar so go now.

I have both.
And now I want an Xbox. To complete the collection and play some games I'm interested in.

If not, save up and get a PS2.

I'm thinking of getting a PS2 (despite the fact that I despise Sony and love Nintendo) simply because X-Box is too expensive, and the Cube doesn't have ANY games I want
