"PS2 or X-Box"

I'm going to have lots of money soon and because my PC sucks I think I'll buy my first console... hurrah.

Not a Gamecube because I don't want to play crap like Pikmin and Lugi's Mansion.

So Playstation 2 is cheaper than X-Box but not as good and has pretty good games.

X-Box is one big beast but Microsoft made my PC crap and it costs a lot.

So what should I get... give me good reasons and prices and stuff please?

I was going to save up for Les Paul or SG but I'm too crap to play such a lovely guitar so go now.

I would have the PS2 as it has more games to choose from and is cheap.

X-Box games cost more than PS2 games and are not that many out.
