My point being didn't Nintendo say "they don't need fancy capabilities like dvd" funny that isn't it because without my PS2 I would not have been able to play it.
It is ludicrous to expect that evey new home commodity has dvd playing capacity, it simply isn't necessary.

I wired my PC up to my 5.1 surround sound speakers on my stereo. The difference in the size of the monitor doesn't mean THAT much to me, so I'm happy. Shame you have to be elitist.

Again, what you've got isn't necessarily what everyone else has got. Sure, you've got a top of the range TV, but not everyone can afford top of the range everything!

What! No No No. PC speakers are not that great. Some are just hopeless. A good modern Nicam Stereo TV has better sound, and a hifi hook up is the best. My tv is a 24" (flat) Widescreen and can match all but the most expensive PC monitors.

Being connected to the net whilst watching DVDs doesn't affect me. By the way, I didn't say you should sell your entire PC. Just the hardware you don't use.

Are you trying to say that Nintendo are just freeloading the games? Psh. PLANK! The games were intended for the GameCube, too. Just because they were released on the PS2 first doesn't mean they are owend by them. And finally, I was just telling you that you could still watch DVDs on a Nintendo console. I was just putting the point accross that you were being slightly biassed.

Oh yeah, like I go to bed to watch DVDs....Well actually I play GameCube games on my 21 inch TV in my bedroom. I watch movies on my brother's PS2 or on my PC, or if they're movies on TV, I'll watch them in my room. Oh, and just because the GameCube doesn't have a DVD option, it doesn't mean it would have a remote if it did. You had to pay and extra £30 or so for that on the PS2 and X-box!

You try leaving your PS2 on for 10 days straight and see what happens when you try to play a DVD. My PC still allows me to watch DVDs perfectly, even after it has been on for a long time, and whilst downloading files.

I must be one of the few that use a 28in tv with my console. Also you know when you are in bed watching a dvd sorry you can't because its on a small little monitor, still a least you don't have to get up due to the fact all PC's have a remote control for there dvd players.
