For me, its not started off at all like any of the previous games, they seemed to throw you into the action straight off, you got to actually do some playing while the story got off to a rushing start, this game hasnt done that to me yet, and this is one of the most important parts of the game.
You have to say that a game really needs a good begining to get things up and running, FF10 starts pretty slow....then with the blitzball scene it gets really good and im starting to think im back in FF, them something strange happens and the game just slowed down again.
Its not all bad, im intrigued to find out whats happening next, and it does seem to be building to something big, its just that, well, i think the graphics may have gone to Squares head at the minute, so far i havent played, i have watched, i hope its starts to improve in that aspect soon.
Got to say though, the graphics and character animations are very nice indeed, but still, a little more play would be nice sometime soon.
I heard that you couldn't get stuff that you didn't get in 'Home' the first time round. I need 4 more Al Bhed Primers but I couldn't remember getting any in Home so I went on Gamefaqs to see if I could still get the ones I needed. Unfortunately, 3 of the ones I don't have are the 3 you're supposed to get in Home. So I'm annoyed.
Nemesis is a very hard baddie which the monster arena guy creates once you've caught ten of every monster and fought and beaten all of his other creations.
So far I've only caught 10 of about 5 species, and only defeaten Dark Valefor and the Dark Magus Sisters.
Grrrr. Oh, and Zanmato is a very, VERY cheap way of killing dark aeons. I've learnt from experience, you see...
Then I beat all the monsters form the Area, Species and Original contests.
Tomorrow all I have to do is beat Dark Anima, then Pennance then Nemisis.
Then I can compleate the game 100%!
Pennance has 12,000,000 HP, with 2 arms with 500,000 HP each!
Shouldn't be too hard though, almost everyone's stats are maxed or well into the 200s.
I rule! *head swells*
I also found some place where i found a
> shield for Lulu which has three elemental eaters on it - this is so
> damn cool as not much magic can hurt her now, she just eats it into
> hit points!
Try and get lots of these.
They come in very useful against Seymour inside Sin as he only uses elementals.
I kicked his hairy blue, and very well styled, bottom.
"Put a sock in it!!"
:-D
> i'm at the same stage as you now Jive.
Yeah, I decided last night to fight my way back down Gagazet Mountain so I could level up as much as possible, took me a couple of hours but got there in the end.
> I just beat that dammened Junalesca.
Where's is she? Is she the one who brings out Yojimbo, if that's the case then I've beaten her and found it quite easy before levelling up in Gagazet.
> Anyway i've found two interesting places.
Have you got the airship yet then? I didn't think you'd get the airship until after the 3rd fight or maybe even later in the game.
