For me, its not started off at all like any of the previous games, they seemed to throw you into the action straight off, you got to actually do some playing while the story got off to a rushing start, this game hasnt done that to me yet, and this is one of the most important parts of the game.
You have to say that a game really needs a good begining to get things up and running, FF10 starts pretty slow....then with the blitzball scene it gets really good and im starting to think im back in FF, them something strange happens and the game just slowed down again.
Its not all bad, im intrigued to find out whats happening next, and it does seem to be building to something big, its just that, well, i think the graphics may have gone to Squares head at the minute, so far i havent played, i have watched, i hope its starts to improve in that aspect soon.
Got to say though, the graphics and character animations are very nice indeed, but still, a little more play would be nice sometime soon.
anyway i managed to do it without one summon, which i am proud of, ok i found her easy, but at times thoose mega death and hellbiter attacks got on my nerves...
now the airship is in my grasp. hmm freedom is excellent!
so my focus: building up stats for the minute and finding hidden aeons...
sir auron has to be my favourite character, dont u think hes gorgeus when hes younger?? nothing to compare to my husband of course, hes the best! quite funally enough hes called aaron, but there u go...

And don't you have to summon and pay him first - which kind of defeats the fact that I can't even get a shot (hit) in!
That's the only Dark Aeon I have defeated on my saved game. However, I have killed Ifrit about 10 times and I don't even need to summon any Aeons. 3 Wakka overdrives and he is dead. I never get any good items for killing him though so I don't save it.
I've killed Ixian once too but got a crap item so I didn't save it.
Had a good go at Bahamut, survived for quite a while and took loads of hits off him but he didn't even go down on one knee. Then he did his impulse and killed everyone in my party (turns you to stone).

Well considering my original "put a sock in it" comment was a quote from Mission Impossible 2, you really have given me no choice but to quote again....
"STOP MUMBLING!!!"

Haha, yeah I see your point, although it's probably too late for that, I obviously sit here and read yours and everyone elses posts, so I now know that there's Penance and Nemesis etc but hey ho I've still got loads to do and loads to keep me entertain with.
It's my own fault really because I should have bought this game as soon as it was released, that way at least I'd be near or only slightly behind most of you who've finished and are now just trying to find the secret stuff. :-)
