"FF10 - first impressions..."

A little disapointed to be honest. I know i have only played it for an hour and a half so far, but to be honest at the moment it doesnt feel like i have done anything apart from watched with a little bit of walking and really really easy fights in between.

For me, its not started off at all like any of the previous games, they seemed to throw you into the action straight off, you got to actually do some playing while the story got off to a rushing start, this game hasnt done that to me yet, and this is one of the most important parts of the game.

You have to say that a game really needs a good begining to get things up and running, FF10 starts pretty slow....then with the blitzball scene it gets really good and im starting to think im back in FF, them something strange happens and the game just slowed down again.

Its not all bad, im intrigued to find out whats happening next, and it does seem to be building to something big, its just that, well, i think the graphics may have gone to Squares head at the minute, so far i havent played, i have watched, i hope its starts to improve in that aspect soon.

Got to say though, the graphics and character animations are very nice indeed, but still, a little more play would be nice sometime soon.

What? The number of spheres you can hold or the attributes? 99 is the maximum amount of items/spheres you can carry. It's ridiculous the amount of items you need to learn a new ability. 99 hi-potions just for Cure! Yeah right!

The attributes don't seem worth it either. It doesn't take as many spheres but it hardly increases your strength/evasion/agility etc at all.

And I have decided to treat myself today by buying the game..Now that I have done my 4 exams this afternoon, I can devote my social life to FF10. Thats me sorted out for 6 months :)

I have been running around for the last two hours just collecting Power, Mana, Ability and Speed Spheres so that I can level up my Aeons's attributes. Wonder how high they go? 99? Higher?

I've just made it to another rather over-dramatic bit but before that, I got a new Aeon and it is unbelievably powerful!!

Also, I have boosted all my characters loads and I've just got the Daga spells and 'Death' for Lulu and Curaga for Yuna.

Plus, just to show that I am the absolute man, I did the laser beam overdrive with the first Aeon on a big boss and took 9999 of damage! With the first Aeon! The weak one! I am the king! :-D

Speaking about being stuck on battles and relying on loads of potions, I'm stuck on the Seymour battle. I've only just remembered that if you summon an aeon, using its magic on yourself heals you. Other than that, I've spent more than two hours leveling up to get the various NUL abilities. Grrrr, cos all of my characters are on the opposite side of the board!

I hope teveryone that's got exams on is revising (I'm suffering subconsciously though as I haven't gone more than 2 hours definately oin ff6 and havent bought ff4,5 and 10. Still once they are over it's 17 weeks of ff life for me!! 24/7.

But when you say "I dont want Yunie to die" that kind of implied to me that she did, and you were just saying you didnt want that to happen or something along those lines.

Im sure you can see where im coming from.

Exactly how is that spoiling anything. I don't know if she is gonna die or not but I don't want her too. Is it any different from saying anything about the airship, which I didn't know about. I don't want to ruin the game for anyone so I'm not about post spoilers, please credit me with more intellegence.
