For me, its not started off at all like any of the previous games, they seemed to throw you into the action straight off, you got to actually do some playing while the story got off to a rushing start, this game hasnt done that to me yet, and this is one of the most important parts of the game.
You have to say that a game really needs a good begining to get things up and running, FF10 starts pretty slow....then with the blitzball scene it gets really good and im starting to think im back in FF, them something strange happens and the game just slowed down again.
Its not all bad, im intrigued to find out whats happening next, and it does seem to be building to something big, its just that, well, i think the graphics may have gone to Squares head at the minute, so far i havent played, i have watched, i hope its starts to improve in that aspect soon.
Got to say though, the graphics and character animations are very nice indeed, but still, a little more play would be nice sometime soon.

I did actually notice that you's spelt it with an E but I was sure I was right. :-D ThundAga, FirAga, BlizzAga, etc. I'm still sure I'm right. I'll have to check later. (If I find out I'm wrong, you won't hear me mention it but if I'm right you'll never forget!!) :-D

What does Ultima do? Yeah, I have 2 black magic spheres too, and 1 white magic one. Oh and how over-dramatic was that scene at Home!?!?!? It was so cool! :-D

Heh. Nah, Yuna's do fine for me but Khimari is SOOOO weak! Auron does about 6000 worth of damage with a normal attack, and Tidus does about 4000. Wakka does about 5000. Lulu can do about 6000 with Thundaga/Blizzaga/Firaga/Waterga. Then we come to Khimari.....WOAH!! 600!!!!! :-D

Yeah I'm on the calm lands too. I've just collected the seven species for that guy and he gave me a chest which I can't open! By the time you read this, you'll have probably got him the species anyway so I'm sure I'm not ruining anything. And when you give him the creatures, he makes a hell of a hard boss for you to fight. No elemental attacks work on him and I used every one of my character's and Aeon's overdrives (that were physical rather than elemental) and he still didn't die. Plus, he is immensely powerful and he is immune to sensors so I can't find out how much hits he has! It's so annoying!
Anyway, I did go past the calm lands and kill a boss but I decided I may be able to capture him so I didn't save it. I also played a few games of Blitzball for (basically) the first time since the tournament. I played the Kilika Beasts, the Ronso fellas and the Guado guys on exhibition matches. Lost to Ronsos (just!). Lost to Guado guys (by a fair amount) but I beat the Kilika Beasts 1-0! WOOHOOO!!!

I hope your right at guessing you're about 70% through the story. We're at the same place and I reckon I'm about 90% of the way through the story. I hope not. I hope it's only 10%!!! But it's not. I know it's not. In my mind I know. :-D

You mean Hastega, yeah? I hate it when clever people get things wrong (but its only once in a while, so we can let you off :)

I got a level 4 sphere in a hidden chest at Home, just before you get the airship. I was quite chuffed since it meant I could get Ultima, and Rikku is really near to the Node! Plus, the fact that I have got 2 Blk magic spheres means I can then get Yuna and Lulu to get the abilities!!!

I did all my levelling up when Yuna had been kidnapped, so she's stuck on less that 1,000 HP!!!!!!!

Still me I'm afraid. I can do 9999 damage with Auron and my best Aeon can do 21,300 damage with his overdrive! Who's the daddy? Who? What's that? YES! ME! :-D

I'm using the normal sphere grid at the moment as this is my introduction to Final Fantasy. I've got Slowga and Hastaga for Tidus.
> Also, Where do I get level 3 sphere's? I'm on the airship, and I've

I don't think I have any level 4 spheres. I have a couple of level ones and a few level twos but but no level threes or fours. I think I did get a level 3 or 4 once but I used it.
> And, all my characters (except Yuna) have more than 3,000 HP
Yeah, same here. Yuna has 2,400 for me but Auron has 4,200. Wakka has 4000 too but Khimari only has about 2400 thanks to me levelling up all my characters laods when I didn't have him. Stoopid me. Don't get me wrong, I'm still the daddy, but I could have picked a better time to boost my stats. :-D
> Mmmmm HP sauce.
Indeed. So much nicer than crappy fruit brown sauce. In fact, I think I'll go get a bowl of HP sauce right now! :-D

You do know that Aeons like Shiva and Ifrit and all Elemental Aeons can cure themselves by casting their own magic on themselves?! If you're thinking of giving any of the elemental aeons the cure ability, its kind of pointless.
PLUS,
How do you level up Aeons? Do they just level up along with Yuna (that's what the game says), because all of mine seem to be really crap.

Well, just to show how much I am the king, yesterday when I defeated Seymour, Wakka attacked for 9999 damage. AHHHH. WHO'S THE DADDY????
Thats because I'm doing the expert sphere grid, and I focused him on all the stats upgrades, rather than abilities. I took him to the very left of the board, where he's learnt Slowga and Hastega. Brilliant!
Also, Where do I get level 3 sphere's? I'm on the airship, and I've got loads of level 1 and 2 spheres, plus a level 4 sphere.
And, all my characters (except Yuna) have more than 3,000 HP
Mmmmm HP sauce.
I reckon I'm about 70% through the story, but only about 10% across the sphere grid with each character, so I gotta 'level up' a bit more, which is what the trainer will be for eventually I think. Those percentages are pure guesses, for all I know I'm only 10% through the storyline, only time will tell.
At the moment I'm concentrating on collecting power spheres to level up the HP and related power attributes of each of my Aeons.
I'd like to know if anyone has clocked up 40 hours or more, just to know that the game is rather huge! Also, can anyone give tips on getting GAD? I want so many more games, but can't afford them! I'm trying hard, but haven't got anything yet.
Increasing MP doesn't make them more powerful, right? Its using the sphere grid to increase magic power and abilities that makes your magic work better for you?
Maybe I can give all my Aeons all the abilities first and then work on powering up their attributes later. That could take a long time though, and unless reincarnation with a save game becomes possible in the next 100 years I might just decide to leave it and finish the storyline off instead.
