For me, its not started off at all like any of the previous games, they seemed to throw you into the action straight off, you got to actually do some playing while the story got off to a rushing start, this game hasnt done that to me yet, and this is one of the most important parts of the game.
You have to say that a game really needs a good begining to get things up and running, FF10 starts pretty slow....then with the blitzball scene it gets really good and im starting to think im back in FF, them something strange happens and the game just slowed down again.
Its not all bad, im intrigued to find out whats happening next, and it does seem to be building to something big, its just that, well, i think the graphics may have gone to Squares head at the minute, so far i havent played, i have watched, i hope its starts to improve in that aspect soon.
Got to say though, the graphics and character animations are very nice indeed, but still, a little more play would be nice sometime soon.
Im still stuck with Fire and Thunder while im fighting fiends who have Firarga and all the rest.
Help...please?
By the way, do you have 'Ultima'?
I have 3 level 4 key spheres now (still no level 3's) and I got Ultima. First, I saw it said it was non-elemental damage to all enemies which I liked. Then I realised it took 90MP which I liked. I knew it had to be amazingly powerful if it took this much to cast it. However, it's crap! It takes around 3,500HP off each enemy. Auron can take well over that with one damn swipe!
I didn't save it so when I reload my game I will have my level 4 keys back. But I want level 3 keys! If I find a level 3 key then I can get doublecast for Lulu and if I find another then I can get Entrust for Auron. Then I would warp Kimahri to Auron's location and work backwards to activate lots of nodes for him (he is currently on sphere level 31).
I just need some damn level 3 keys!
However, when you talk to Wakka in that little town area in the middle of the Calm lands, he says something like "Zanarkand is so close already. It's just around the corner." I can't imagine there is much left now then. I hope there is but I find it unlikely. I've been going for just over 30 hours now and that seems pretty damn good for a game completeion time nowadays. Games are getting shorter and shorter and I haven't played a game in AGES that takes more than 15 hours.
A question: I've just gotten up to the calm plains, and I was wondering how much proper storyline/quest there is left? I've not even clocked up 30 hours yet, and I'd hate it if I was really close to finishing it (I'm bound to play again though). Since I know that a lot of you are at this point, I was just wondering if you could help me.
Anticlockwise or clockwise? Or doesn't it matter?
You rotate the right analogue stick to multiply the number of times you use the spell. I've managed to get it to go 7 times, which is very good considering its quite unresponsive.
Same with Lulu. She isn't really made for attacking since she has that stupid doll thing. It only does about 50 damage. It's her spells that are powerful.
What overdrives do you have with Khimari by the way? I have Jump, Seed Canon, Fire Breath, Aqua Breath, Bad breath and Thrust Kick.
Oh and how does Lulu's overdrive work? I can't work it out! With Wakka, it's obvious as you're basically playing a lot machine. With Auron you just have to press the buttons and with Tidus you have to stop it in the centre. They're all obvious except for Lulu. I can't work out what to do!!! So my Daga spells are more powerful than my damn overdrive!!! HELP!
> Heh. Nah, Yuna's do fine for me but Khimari is SOOOO weak! Auron does

> 600!!!!! :-D
You'll laugh when you read this - Wakka does about 6,000 - Auron about 4,000, Tidus about 3,000 (Kimahri, too). Rikku about 200, Yuna about 50 and *dun dun duuunnnn* Lulu does about 10.

Do you mean that as each character is about 10% or with all the characters together, you've still only covered 10% of it?
I have covered loads of it with all the characters put together and I now have nowhere new to go with Khimari. I am about to enter where Yuna started off I think. That's probably not the best idea since Khimari is a power guy whereas Yuna is more magic. I may use my one and only Friend sphere to warp to Auron's location. I currenty have a sphere level of 19 with Khimari as I have been deciding what to do for ages. :-D
