"FF10 - first impressions..."

A little disapointed to be honest. I know i have only played it for an hour and a half so far, but to be honest at the moment it doesnt feel like i have done anything apart from watched with a little bit of walking and really really easy fights in between.

For me, its not started off at all like any of the previous games, they seemed to throw you into the action straight off, you got to actually do some playing while the story got off to a rushing start, this game hasnt done that to me yet, and this is one of the most important parts of the game.

You have to say that a game really needs a good begining to get things up and running, FF10 starts pretty slow....then with the blitzball scene it gets really good and im starting to think im back in FF, them something strange happens and the game just slowed down again.

Its not all bad, im intrigued to find out whats happening next, and it does seem to be building to something big, its just that, well, i think the graphics may have gone to Squares head at the minute, so far i havent played, i have watched, i hope its starts to improve in that aspect soon.

Got to say though, the graphics and character animations are very nice indeed, but still, a little more play would be nice sometime soon.

YES! i finally got anima yesterday so i went to fight that summoner at Remiem temple. i still can't get past the forcefield but opened the first gate. then i went chocobo racing. i opened the first chest in the first race, 2 chests in the second race, 3 chests in the third race and 4 chests in the fourth race which gave me 30 wings of discovery. YES! can someone tell me how to open the other forcefield and how to get break damage limit as i want this so bad. Plus i only have the mars crest, the moon crest and the venus crest. where can i get the others?

Cheers guys, I now defeated it thanks to me drawing up a little fact sheet and a strategy in English Language today. I outlined things I need to do, and I beat her with my first go. What do we do now-so many places to visit:) hehe

Any suggestions where I can get some powerful weapons or interesting items? I am considing doing the Calm Lands monster thing right now

I did that Chocobo race in the Calm Lands. Got 26 seconds in my first attempt (well, since my first EVER attempt about 60 hours ago in gameplay). In my second attempt, I got 0 seconds so I got the Sun Sigil and now Tidus's celestial weapon is at full power. He can take 50,000HP with each attack on the the enemies on Bikanel Island. When I tried to do the Chocobo Race again though, I couldn't get anywhere near a perfect time. The angle kept changing to a dismal one so I couldn't see any birds coming in. Grrrrrr....got quite annoying and I ended up backhanding my sofa very hard. In fact, the springs inside it actually caused my hand to bleed. Okay so it was my own fault for hitting it in the first place but.....DAMN THE SOFA!

Anyway, where do you get Wakka's celestial weapon? I just know that he is going to be the daddy when he gets that.

I'm kind of levelling up at the moment, but I've paid a visit to Baaj temple and found that I've only gotten two of the items. I think they're the ones from Macalania temple and another, but I'm not sure what the other is. Dang it, Brandine, gotta go visit all the other temples!!

For Yunalesca I used two character with auto-med armour. I then used a stamina tablet on yuna and let her keep zombie status. This way if Yunalesca casts Zombie on the other two characters they automatically get rid of it and can be healed by Yuna. i didn't have any probs with yuna eitha because she had twice as many hit points as usually because of the stamina tablet (which was nicked of yunalesca in her first form)...hope that doesn't sound too confused, but what can you expect at quater to five.

Cure two of your people from zombie, that way if she casts mega death you won't be wiped out and you can cure your two people. If it really gets annoying, I think death ward and death proof on armour stops mega death, but I'm not sure.

Depends what you mean by a "little joke". When you basically have the same name as me, you tend to get some misunderstandings about each individual's legitimate identities (have I confused you already :)). I am always up for a good joke but my agent doesnt recall me making a joke out of anyone lately. (small print quickly strolls through the page showing every member's name on SR) Ahem.....Here "hands herc £5000".

And how can you possibly suggest both me AND Pro Evo had something to do with it....Its his fault entirely. Bah....

Hello, I am not usually the person who has problems on bosses (I usually work it out) but Yunalesca is REALLY beginning to annoy me. I just cant beat its 3rd form. Has anyone got any valuable tips for me. I get th ebit where you have to use Reflect/Dispel etc to stop her attacks and keep the zombie status because of MegaDeath and stuff. But when I get to her 3rd form, she just keeps using Regen and Cura and no matter how hard I hit her-she still manages to get herself back almost to full health. I was interested in whether there were any spells or items that will cure me while in the Zombie status-like Hi Potion takes health off you-is there an opposite thing to that?

Reflect helps a lot but it reflects all the spells onto her and I just cant keep up with her since I have to worry about hitting her/dispelling regen/trying to cure myself. I checked a few online guides but it is easier said than done. So can someone please help me, since this is the last boss before I can wonder off and get all the sidequests over and done with, ie get my party sortde out and gather enough cash to buy myself new weapons etc. If I dont beat it soon, I will have to go and beat Square up with a stick

She also has the 4-disc FF7 official soundtrack, the single disc FF9 soundtrack and an FF5 soundtrack. She's pre-ordered the FF11 soundtrack as well. How sad do you get...
