Now I really didnt want to touch this subject again, but seriously this is becoming a joke.
I am referring to these very forum. In the recent months it became flooded with pointless spam and one word replies. Things totally got outof hand in the past 4 weeks or so. All decent topics were flushed down the list and they were replaced by things like "Can you wait for MGS2?". Maybe some of you regard these forums as a place to chat liek you would chat with your mates in school. Some use text language, things like brb gr8 and wot? Why that laziness?
I have been especially concerned with the fact that people who spend long times writing their topics simply do not get the credit they deserve. This is due to the relative lack of feedback from many of you. Once a person sees a long post, they think to themselves-"Nah I cant be bothered to read all that" abd start spamming.
Some of us even think that every long post is a GAD attempt and therefore does not reflect on the writer's feelings and emotions.
As Pro Evo said in the Longest Thread, many of people who are writing long, worth-a-read topics cannot be credited for anything just because seconds after a post is written it is beaten by hordes of MGS2 and GTA3 posts.
I do not want to be a big-head but to be honest in the last few weeks this forum only had 3-4 people post good posts that were actually interesting to read-Pro Evo, SSX Pro, Wookiee Monster and me. Now I am not trying to say my or anyone elses posts are sheer class, but I dont think anyone can argue that there has been hardly no people who posted long thought-provoking posts.
So could we just stop this spam and try and get this forum back ot its feet. AFter all this is one of the most-visited places on SR...And what kind of example are we setting here???

Thing is, no one will read that in here, and if they do, how will you get them to actually do it?
I know these will never be remotely effective, but if ever there were any rules on posting how about these for a few ideas....
1) Topics comparing PS2 to another console belong in FOG Prime or Chat.
2) Before you ask for help look back and see if someone has alredy dealt with the question you want to ask, after all if it is a question that is commonly asked - such as the Dodo on GTA3 - then people may not feel inclined to answer your question. If you cannot find it then post your question, but follow 3)
3) Spelling, punctuation, even paragraphs. Try your best to use these in your posts, and avoid text messaging slang as many find it hard to read or ignore it altogether. On mobiles its necessary, but this isnt a mobile. using these 3 will increase your chances of help.
4) Don't dive into a topicand post something completely off topic or strike up a chat with a mate. Thats fine, but use the FOG Chat for that, thats what its there for !

There is of course, another aspect to this. Whilst were all trying to "save" this forum from becoming really boring, it seems to have killed all interest in other things PS2. Theres one topic about ICO, a wayward FFX topic and thats it ? is anyone actually bothered about Virtua Fighter 4, FFXI, Vampire Night, Vexx, the modem, the HDD, Tonights Tomb Raider Next Gen show in London, forthcoming platinum games, the new magazines, and so on......instead we're disappearing under samey topics, still FOG Chat has been lively today, especially after Goatboy's hooligan post.....

I notice you don't come forward and admit to copying until AFTER you've been found out.
Anyway, why should I help you 'sort this forum out' (if that's even what I've been doing so far)?

And Totoro, you can check some of teh topics I have done in the recent weeks and you may understand why I am not happy with the forum. I only got replies from people I know...And if you think I copied them, go ahead and check....How come I get the blame when almost half of SR copies reviews and probably many of them win. How fair is that?
I am gonna be honest, I wanted to see if it is THAT easy to find someone out mate...Yes I copied but I am coming forward.This is the FIRST ever time I have done something like that and not even going to think about doing that again... I feel it was unfair when people accused me of copying of when I didnt do a thing wrong. Guess how bad that felt....? This was a total one-off and I have learned my mistake. Simple as...I will not let it go to my head in any way....Sorry if I caused any offense to people.
Back to the content of this post. Since I cant be on for long, did SR say anything to Your Honour about his topic. And have you people got anymore ideas for making this forum a better place
