We don't know, but the big cheese's in the gaming industry do and this includes Microsoft. Microsoft have been told by Rare or just have suspecions of Nintendo's marketing plans and Microsoft stated that they are very cunning and that they have something incredible up the sleeves.
Rumours surrounding online play through the newley announced GBA player add on to the Gamecube could well be it. Online GBA games? Addictive and fun games that require very little bandwidth etc... or nintendo maintance? It could be terrifyingly possible and may kill X-box off in Japan that hopes X-box Live could help increase dwindeling sales in the land of the rising sun.
Thought you aught to know.

Well, I pay that just for the internet every year, Xbox Live will be an extra, Its minute come to think of it.
Nintendo online will be great, but its wont be as superior as XBL will be.

I don't care who organises the fees - if I have to pay £400.00 a year upwards then I certainly won't be going online.

It could, but it'd be lag city. You need to have your friends list, mathmaker, voice chat - all running at the same time, and in games you need all but the matchmaker running and the game itself. Xboxlive needs broadband to push larger amounts of data around.
The UK needs to get broadband more widely installed, we're already further behind than even North Korea !

It makes no sense at all.
Nothing is out or even really talked about yet. You know nothing and are just all making up LIES.

PS2 online in the UK is almost certain to be broadband-only.
I personally believe that 56k should be an option, simply for those who cannot get or do not yet want broadband.
As for the unfairness between BB/NB gamers, from what I've been reading about Xbox Live's 'MatchMaker' (is that what it's called?) functions, it could probably be tailored to put 56k users against other 56k users only.
RARRRRRRRRRRRR
See look at that anger.

Thats nothin to do with MS though. The fees would be the same if you had a GC or PS2 with broadband, or with 56k it would be less.

I was under the impression it was an initial £40.00, then £30.00 a month for the broadband fees. I'm fairly sure that's the case.

56K is an option, and the broadband people and the dial-up people will be seperated. It's just a matter of catering for everyone, and PC gamers have been managing fine with 56K for years now.
