What are Nintendo's online plans?

We don't know, but the big cheese's in the gaming industry do and this includes Microsoft. Microsoft have been told by Rare or just have suspecions of Nintendo's marketing plans and Microsoft stated that they are very cunning and that they have something incredible up the sleeves.

Rumours surrounding online play through the newley announced GBA player add on to the Gamecube could well be it. Online GBA games? Addictive and fun games that require very little bandwidth etc... or nintendo maintance? It could be terrifyingly possible and may kill X-box off in Japan that hopes X-box Live could help increase dwindeling sales in the land of the rising sun.

Thought you aught to know.

Dringo, you actually got a web page that shows MS execs making this comment ? I'm having difficulty finding it on google. Did find these though;

http://xbox.ign.com/articles /356/356147p1.html - How wrong were they then ? 14.95 a month ? :P

And that was all that was vaguleyl like it to be honest, show us the web page and maybe we'll care...

hmmmmm, I find it hard to believe that Xbox Live can be beat by Nintendo, but I will wait and see to be open minded.

WOOOOOOOOOOOW SHOOT THE MESSENGER WHY DON'T YOU!

Microsoft stated that Nintendo's online plans are far more special than people realize and they are seen as a very large threat...

Ooh.. I could give you a million bad things about that post, and an equal number of angry responses - but I'll keep it brief. We haven't seen either of the consoles' online services yet, and though it's likely that MS will be the best - you never know what Nintendo might have.

And what's this about cartoon games? Sure, Nintendo might make games that don't have ultra-realistic graphics, but calling them poor because of that is quite shallow - as it's just not true. And in addition to that, Nintendo produce a wide variety of games with different graphics (NBA Courtside 2002, Wave Race: Blue Storm, Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, 1080 Snowboarding: Avalanche, Metroid Prime, etc).

GC gaming online? ... But I can already multiplay SNES titles online via ZNES, and for free too!
