Or as it is otherwise known - The MLB Thread

So Yankees, as always busy around deadline day and were quite successful. Abreu and Lidle for a bunch of minor league prospects of which only Smith looks half decent. Don't know too much about Lidle to be honest but Abreu will give another strong bat and some experienced coverage for Sheffield while he's out injured (and more than likely replace him for next season) Also picked up Craig Wilson for Chacon to give us another strong bat. Had him in my MVP Baseball 2005 team as well actually. Might mean Andy Phillips doesn't get as much time as he should though which is a shame.

Red Sox and Jays did nothing and we kept hold of Cano, Melky and Phillips so a good trade deadline time all around for the Yanks

Wow, Liriano to miss the whole of the 2007 season. That's a massive blow for the Twins

MLB all stars giving their Japanese counterparts a lesson in the art of baseball already 3-0 up. Ryan Howard in electric form. I've got my broom at the ready

Eckstein won the MVP, interesting, doubt he'd have been anyone's first pick at the start of the series.

Must really suck to be a Cubs fan these past few years.

Now that insignificant nonsense is out the way, let the real important event begin - Yankees post-season moves.

I demand Zito at least Cashman!!!

What a game!! some of the errors were embaressing really but still a great game, Rolan has been my MVP along with Molina. Eckstein was class too, altogether they capatilized on the mistakes made by the Tigers and it payed off.

Yes, missed most of that inning due to making something to eat.

Rolan was on form last night.
