So Yankees, as always busy around deadline day and were quite successful. Abreu and Lidle for a bunch of minor league prospects of which only Smith looks half decent. Don't know too much about Lidle to be honest but Abreu will give another strong bat and some experienced coverage for Sheffield while he's out injured (and more than likely replace him for next season) Also picked up Craig Wilson for Chacon to give us another strong bat. Had him in my MVP Baseball 2005 team as well actually. Might mean Andy Phillips doesn't get as much time as he should though which is a shame.

Red Sox and Jays did nothing and we kept hold of Cano, Melky and Phillips so a good trade deadline time all around for the Yanks

I'm just patient but it's such a quick tournament, you need to fluke a lot of cards near the end.

Pettite pitched in relief today and Rasner got a start? I guess there is still some rotation shuffling still going on.

Very snazzy, wish i could get into the money but out of 2700 people and only 27 places paid, it's pretty hard

I had a final table finish this week. Finished 6th and won $11.25 which worked out as £6.18.

Had my first final table today on the poker, ended up finishing 3rd out of 630 as dinner was ready as i had to rush down so just went all in with King 3 off suit and he had a pair of 4's.

Yea, good job we didn't get rid of Melky in the pre-season now.

A-Rod's gonna keep the press off his back for about a week after that very big clutch hit.

Yep, the bullpen kept the score at 7 and Ray blew the save. A-Rod was on fire. 6 RBIs is pretty good going.

Matsui will hit the offense a bit but I think the Yankees should have decent cover.

Well right away i need to make a change seeing as Matsui got a hamstring strain today in the 10-7 win over the O's.

Igawa struggled at first but then seemed to settle down, hopefully he can build on that.

Yea i did the pitching rotation first so got some good pitchers and then when i got to the batting line up i had to cut some costs somewhere hence why the likes of Dmitri Young and Howie Kendrick are in, although Kendrick should get some good points as he bats behind Vlad so should pick up plenty of RBI's

Yeah, it's not bad. I think the offense is a bit hit and miss in places but the pitching rotation looks pretty good.

Finally got my fantasy team done, pretty decent on paper anyway.
