Or as it is otherwise known - The MLB Thread

So Yankees, as always busy around deadline day and were quite successful. Abreu and Lidle for a bunch of minor league prospects of which only Smith looks half decent. Don't know too much about Lidle to be honest but Abreu will give another strong bat and some experienced coverage for Sheffield while he's out injured (and more than likely replace him for next season) Also picked up Craig Wilson for Chacon to give us another strong bat. Had him in my MVP Baseball 2005 team as well actually. Might mean Andy Phillips doesn't get as much time as he should though which is a shame.

Red Sox and Jays did nothing and we kept hold of Cano, Melky and Phillips so a good trade deadline time all around for the Yanks

Ouch, I watched the end of the Yankee game. Good situational hitting. 3 sac flies and 4 runs. Rivera blown save though. Would never have expected that.

Nice marathon of a win last night with Giambi finally getting the winning run in the 13th. Rasner pitched well after a shaky start, hopefully looks like our starting pitchers are beginning to settle down now after the horrendous first week

If the ball is in the air and goes past the line that stretches up to the top of the field it's foul, if the ball hits the ground and goes past the line before reaching the 1st or 3rd base then it's foul, if however it gets past them and THEN goes past the foul line then keep your hands to yourself missy as that ball is in play and only the players are allowed to touch it. Ask a certain Cubs fan about it :-D

Very nice seats, who are the Dodgers playing in the game you're going to?

I was always in the bleachers when i went to Yankee Stadium, where the true (i.e poor) baseball fans watch the games :-D

Done and thanks. I got tickets confirmed for first base side, row 6. I can't believe it's only 5 months away now.

I've no idea how to tell if a ball is foul or not^^ I promise to either find out beforehand or keep my hands in my pockets :D

Apparently it's a minor one so he'll miss at least his next turn in the rotation, maybe a second but it shouldn't be any more than that.

Stupid Yankees and their hamstrings, everyone's injuring them

Yup field baseline are really good tickets, close to the action and always the chance of a foul ball heading your way (just make sure it's actually foul :-D) Get them on the right side though as there'll be more action heading to 1st base obviously so you'd want to be there, plus more foul balls head that way. Just remember to keep your eyes on the action at all times :-D

Ooooohhhhh Hi :)

So glad you still have your 'love inn' thread going. Teeny, teeny favour please...

Dodgers schedule

Just tick any green T and it will bring the stadium layout up. Going to book tickets for game in September and have asked for best seats available. It's colour coded and offering me the best seats as being area 44 'field baseline'. Now having never been in a baseball ground are these really any good do you think? They look a long way away to me. Can't get in the field box - we tried for them already :(

Any advise would be most welcome. Thanks

Is Mussina alright? They said strained hamstring when he was taken out after 3 innings or so.
