So Yankees, as always busy around deadline day and were quite successful. Abreu and Lidle for a bunch of minor league prospects of which only Smith looks half decent. Don't know too much about Lidle to be honest but Abreu will give another strong bat and some experienced coverage for Sheffield while he's out injured (and more than likely replace him for next season) Also picked up Craig Wilson for Chacon to give us another strong bat. Had him in my MVP Baseball 2005 team as well actually. Might mean Andy Phillips doesn't get as much time as he should though which is a shame.
Red Sox and Jays did nothing and we kept hold of Cano, Melky and Phillips so a good trade deadline time all around for the Yanks
Pavano eventually went back to form and sucked but an encouraging sign from our bullpen who didn't give up a run.
The Mets were good in the field, deserved the win.
I really want the season to start. This year has been really annoying so far.
Not done too well in last couple days of freerolls, just been bored of it so gone all in with ok hands (Ace King off suit) but busting out. Ah well
The predictions from the gang on Channel 5 will be interesting.
Though AL East - Yankees is a given :D
Plus, I'm certain that there are cheaters around too. There must be some software out that gives them the cards that are coming up because I see people play garbage and hitting 2 pair, 3 of a kind etc and never losing a pot.
