Or as it is otherwise known - The MLB Thread

So Yankees, as always busy around deadline day and were quite successful. Abreu and Lidle for a bunch of minor league prospects of which only Smith looks half decent. Don't know too much about Lidle to be honest but Abreu will give another strong bat and some experienced coverage for Sheffield while he's out injured (and more than likely replace him for next season) Also picked up Craig Wilson for Chacon to give us another strong bat. Had him in my MVP Baseball 2005 team as well actually. Might mean Andy Phillips doesn't get as much time as he should though which is a shame.

Red Sox and Jays did nothing and we kept hold of Cano, Melky and Phillips so a good trade deadline time all around for the Yanks

I saw the Braves V Padres game last night. Atlanta got back to 5-5 and then the Atlanta reliever left the game with the bases loaded and only 1 out. Padres won 8-5, which apparently was an achievement for the Padres to score 8 runs.

Both bullpens have been beat up and they need the All Star break to rest up.

Series win over the Angels, i'll definitely take that with them being our bogey team. Nice pitching from Wang

Get to see Atlanta vs Padres tonight, don't often have chance to see them so shall be good, especially with Maddux pitching

The Yankees and the Angels were hitting as well. The Angels pitcher only went 2 innings and everyone on the Yankees team got at least an RBI.

Minnesota were playing a double header against the White Sox and scored another 12 runs.

haha guess the Twins were saving those runs they didn't score against us for the White Sox. Allowing 7 earned runs and still picking up a win, baseball's a funny old game

Heh, Minnesota just beat the White Sox 20-14. Only 4 of the 18 half innings resulted in no runs.

Yeah, Clemens was good, not many K's but stopped runs getting on the board and Wang was good again. He'll soon have that ERA under 3 I think.
