So Yankees, as always busy around deadline day and were quite successful. Abreu and Lidle for a bunch of minor league prospects of which only Smith looks half decent. Don't know too much about Lidle to be honest but Abreu will give another strong bat and some experienced coverage for Sheffield while he's out injured (and more than likely replace him for next season) Also picked up Craig Wilson for Chacon to give us another strong bat. Had him in my MVP Baseball 2005 team as well actually. Might mean Andy Phillips doesn't get as much time as he should though which is a shame.
Red Sox and Jays did nothing and we kept hold of Cano, Melky and Phillips so a good trade deadline time all around for the Yanks
After 6 hours i finished 2nd and ended up with 35 dollars. Woo hoo. That can pay for my mobile top up earlier this month.
The Yankees really need to be within 3 games when Boston play the Yankees. That would make the series really tense.
I just got ebbed away by the blinds by the end, didn't get any decent hands at all to play, was all junk like 8 3 off suit
The second tournament was the weirdest tournament i've ever played in though. For the first hour and a half it seemed like only half the field were playing, i was on 3 separate tables where only me and another guy were playing and the rest were auto folding. Of course once i got rid of the other guy on each table i got moved again so was unable to take advantage of stealing the blinds from those non-players.
Quite annoying how the game keeps stopping the tournament when it gets to one place off a new bracket of cash waiting for the tables to all finish up their hands though
Yankees with the sweep although Rivera almost blew it. He was missing the plate by a bit and his cutter was moving a lot more than usual.
