So Yankees, as always busy around deadline day and were quite successful. Abreu and Lidle for a bunch of minor league prospects of which only Smith looks half decent. Don't know too much about Lidle to be honest but Abreu will give another strong bat and some experienced coverage for Sheffield while he's out injured (and more than likely replace him for next season) Also picked up Craig Wilson for Chacon to give us another strong bat. Had him in my MVP Baseball 2005 team as well actually. Might mean Andy Phillips doesn't get as much time as he should though which is a shame.

Red Sox and Jays did nothing and we kept hold of Cano, Melky and Phillips so a good trade deadline time all around for the Yanks

Well that's one down, Jesus coming back to smite his old club and Pettitte with a good display. Joba's first appearance of the Sox and he destroys them just like everyone else, 0.00ERA throughout his career!!!!

Usually when a team scores big runs, the other team scores a fair few too. Texas did well to stop them at 3. I suppose it might have been less if it wasn't a 2 game day.

Taking one game off the Angels isn't so bad. The 6 games against Boston coming up will be key. 4 game set against Detroit again next I think.

Pettitte stops the sweep and Joba continues to bring all sorts of awesome. 100mph fastball and a slider that is just plain NASTY = the replacement for Mo :-D

Ah well with my recent Vlad Angels jersey purchase and me already owning a Yankees jersey come october i'll have a jersey to wear for the World Series champs :-D

I'm in big trouble, i've found a ebay store that has both MLB and NFL jerseys, everything sewn on and a huge selection of them all for only about 20 quid each. I'm gonna be a broke little yankee soon

Yea it was the one with the 15 minute blinds. Good for when you want to see alot of cheap flops at the start though slightly tiresome near the end.

Did you play that $365 snail tournament then? I've played that a few times and I felt like I was playing forever just to get in the money. :)
