Only 24 hours to the first code is released, have you registered @ wrc.com (follow the PS2 link etc).

Contest 1 closes at midnight Monday (Monday night), it would be nice to get as many people involved on this thread as possible.

I'm sure some smart German/Swede/.... will beat us all by thirty seconds but hey who cares, it's the taking part that counts.

There is still the chance of being the best in the UK.

Perhaps SR will use WRC as one of their Gamer of the Month challenges later in the year.

Post our times here once we get the code, by the way have you all registered with the same username you use here ?, I have.

Nice one!

Really impressed with that time - I really can't see how you do it.

I've always considered myself to be pretty good at driving games but I can't see how my 6:14 can go down to 5:55.

Hello UK drivers,

Just a "smart Swede" here. I got 6.03.74 yesterday, but I don't think it will be enough to get to the swedish national finals.

I'll try improving my times but I don't know if it's possible. (Of course that's what I said when I was running in the 6.17 regions :))

I'm using automatic since, as many of you have learned, manual shifting makes you go all over the place :)

It would have been VERY COOL if the code would contain Manual/Auto plus the stage times, so we could see where and how the crazy Austrian and French people get their times.

Good luck to all of you!

I noticed - I'd be sending a drugs test over if 3:11 had been correct!!

What a huge difference a few seconds make. I'm going to get under 3 on the last stage tonight.

I completely spooned a few corners on that when I got the 6.14 time so I know that I can catch your 6:11.

The heat is on g1nger - I'll only have an hour or so tonight but even if I don't get registered I'll let you know how I get on.

Don't worry, I won't make up the time just to lie. Not my style.

I'm about 610th in UK and 3360 Internationally.
I reckon I have spent about 4 hours in total on the challenge, still with joypad and auto gears. Won't be having anymore goes today.
Knocking those last couple of seconds off was almost painful.
Roll on the next challenge, bet it's nice and icey Sweden.
Can't Wait !

JUST managed to get my first registration in.

984 in the UK
4843 International

So, humiliating I guess!

I'm going to have another blast tonight but I fear that getting registered again later may be a problem. Only one way to find out of course.

Nice going g1nger by the way. Not too far behind you.

Have you been playing it loads this w/e?

In total I've done 5 runs so I'm still quite pleased with the time. It's that last one where I'm sure I can get under 3 mins.

Just wish I could change the gear ratio - I could pull several seconds out of that time then.

I think deadline was extended by 24 hours because so many people couldn't get onto the site. It was fine on Saturday & Sunday though.I also tried manual gears but couldn't improve, my stage times are:
1.51.72, 1.17.52, 3.01.40 = 3.11.40.
Slightly different to Mr Coates.
Just tried site now and still can't log in.

I'm sure that manual gears are the way to go but my times actually became worse due to only using auto gears to far.

JEEPERS CREEPERS down in the 5.55's ....Like you said ginger,"i would like too see there replays" ...I still can't better my time, but i am enjoying myself. Have you tried the stages in manual gears? ...If you have was there a great difference between automatic and manual times? ..I tried manual and i was all over the place. Can't wait for the next challenge!!
