I'ma bit nervous

You need the new Aston Martin. You can start from a standstill in 4th gear!
That's its party piece, 0-135mph in one gear.
Needless to say he failed his test.
My concentration was better yesterday, and I was more-aware of what was going-on around me at roundabouts and traffic light-less junctions.
But when my instructor told me to "take the next right" off the carridgeway, I shot straight-past the turning at 60mph, and got him a bit... "annoyed"! :)
I just didn't realise it can so soon!
I was sure there were two in that area, and that was only the first...
I very-rarely look at road-signs, though - that's my problem!
I did manage to stall quite a few times yesterday, and kept forgetting to drop-down to 1st-gear at every junction I approached when I stopped - and I blame it all on my determination to concentrate better on what's going-on around me - something I don't always do too-well in my lessons, but wanted to get right, this time.
Worst of all though, was the smell inside the car for the full-90-minutes.
My driving instructor kept discretely farting - I could smell it!
He kept fidgiting, but didn't say a word, or make a single sound...
It stank!! :S
My mum also told me about some of the instructors she had...
There was one who would take his socks off, but his feet on the dashboard, and start picking at his toes...
A really fat-guy who kept leaning on her as the car turned....
And some "slimey" bloke who kept "accidentally" grabbing her knee instead of the gear-stick.
So, it could've been worse, I suppose! :)
The second was coming up to a roundabout on the duel carriageway. I had to come of at the first exit and then take another left soon after so I was pretty much doubling back on myself. I didn’t slow down early enough, mistimed my clutch and gear change, crunched the gears and flew round the bend in neutral…my instructors fingers were deeply imbedded in the side of his seat.
Tried to grab it and quickly shove it into 2nd, but completely missed it and ended up hitting him.
He saw the funny-side of it, though. :)
I had 13 lessons in total and didn't feel ready for my test. But on the day, I just nailed it. Everything just seemed to go right. The only problem I had was with first gear, the lady driving examiner was, well, rather large and I kept brushing her knee every time I put it into first. Maybe that’s why I passed…
Maybe slightly less - I haven't counted...
But no, I haven't got one of those cards. Only one with the dates and times of each lesson on it.
Have you got one of those little cards where your instructor marks you out of 6 for each thing E.g. use of mirrors?
If so, why not post what you have for each thing...
Did the "City Centre" route, and went round a few other areas of Bristol, too, before getting stuck in a HUGE traffic-cue - thanks to roadworks - along the A38, on my way home at the end of the lesson - 20 minutes later!
I STILL need to watch my speed! That's my main problem.
When I shift-up in the gears, I want to suddenly race-away at full-power, and keep doing ust that - even in 30-zones!
I stalled for the first-time in a while, also. Misread a possible 'chance' to go a a roundabout, and ended up having to slam the brakes on - without actually pushing the clutch down - D'oh!
So, I also need to be more-aware of what's going on around me.
I'm not ready for my test yet, so I won't be booking it for July, just yet... I'll give it 3-more lessons, and then see where I am.
I can't practice in my Escort at the moment, beause it's being serviced.
There's hardly anything wrong with it, but they're gonna "clean it up a bit" and sort out the handbrake, and maybe the footbrake, for me - all for a total of around £100.
