I'ma bit nervous

I was like that too. It took me about a year after I got my provisional before I booked my first test, it was actually my cousin that persuaded me to book it.
But my main worry was the gear changing, but you change gears less than you may think, and once the instructor has explained when to change them, you just listen to the sound of the engine. After a few lessons it justs seems to come naturally. But you should definetly give it a go, even for just 1 lesson. Once you have 1 you'll want more, it's actually quite good fun.
But dont do what I did, and call your instructors wife an idiot.
look at the:
'So, I'll just shoot myself then' topic, to see what I mean.
:)
I've no doubt the driving world will miss you.
so was you instructor a munter? And why on earth did you get a woman driving instructor?

I think it depends on the type of test you are taking.
In fact, do they still ask you 3 questions?

My mate was screwed at his last test. I forget the details, but basically he made no major errors and was failed on really daft stuff, things which weren't his fault.

Jade Goody springs to mind. Although i don't think she was meant to escape from the womb.

If you get 16 minors you fail, if you get 1 or more serious/dangerous faults you fail. Thats the only way you will fail.
If automatic cars became standard here, I'd be interested, but until then, it's public transport and walking for old MoJo.
(On another note, a kid I know managed to fail his test FIVE times, and since he turned 17 before most people, he was still learning a LONG time after a lot of younger people had already passed. And he has loads of dents and scratches on his car, from numerous scrapings... some people just aren't meant to drive)

True, but if you even remotely borderline, you fail.
