I'ma bit nervous
Did the 3-Point Turn...
And I didn't find it as bad as people say it is!
All seemed to go pretty smoothly, and easily. Although, I did hit the kirb while reversing - but I only really touched it with the back-wheels. :)
And I know my Instructor wasn't helping me because of what he was telling me to do. He'd be telling me to "Brake..."; I'd say "OK.." and just not respond... "Break, Olly!"; and then my Homer-like brain would suddenly tell me that that he wants me to do something!
But I did all the turning and that alright.
I just can't concentrate when he's trying to talk to me at the same time as I'm driving - and I don't reckon he knows it, either.
I'll be doing "some more turns", according to him, next-lesson.
But at least I'm dealing with the Clutch alright now, when moving-off! :)
Be taking my Escort for a drive later, also.
It'll be interesting to see how I cope with a power-steering-less vehicle...
Got it all perfect!
Then someone parked opposite me on the way out so I had to shuffle about a bit before the car would get out without hitting him.
Upminster is full of today!
They're everywhere, playing football, running about the high street and as per usual, they're all hanging outside McDonalds.
Bunch of pikeys.
Had 5th lesson yesterday
Changing gears and stuff is easy now, just need practice and I haven't done any manouvers yet.
The Theory Test must be dead-simple!
My mate - who isn't the brightest of people around - has just passed his Theory Test -- and he's had even less Driving Lessons than me (I've had 6)!!
Unbelievavbe!!
He's either been secretly revising for the past year; or it really is that damn easy. But while he was at the test center, he was only one of 4 people, out of the 20 there, who actually PASSED the Theory Test!!
I'm confident I can past it first-time, but I'm not gonna rush into and book mine for next-week or anything, just because he has.
