Ive just been looking at the release charts and so far there isnt really anything extravagant to look forward to on the cube for next year. The only things that have a little sparkle are f zero and soul calibur but even these arnt blockbusters.

The new mario game looks patheic and to be honest after the last one i am really dam sick of mario now. Mario kart looks like a laugh but at the end of the day thats all it is! a laugh a p*ss around for when people come round ya house. it aint got outstanding gameplay or a gripping story line!

All the games on the release charts just look bland and repetetive. I can clearly say that weve seen it all before just without the slightly enhanced graphics.

The only thing i can safely say that i trust will be good is rogue leader 3 and still that looks a little repetetive and the third person levels dont look up too much!

Well.. Winning Eleven Six is a sketchy issue really, it's only available in Japan so it could be argued that it doesn't really count. But lets not get into that.

Yep, you listed some good titles but forgot Jak & Daxter, Deus Ex and GTA3.

In Skies of Arcadia: lengends had a very gripping storyline, it's what makes the game enjoyable and thus makes you want more from it.

I don't care about repetetive sequels as long as they're good sequels, like Mario and Zelda, which have ALWAYS been TOP QUALITY, unlike Tomb Raider. Nintendo is the only company that makes games itself, and I can guarantee that you have never seen Sony or Microsoft down as the DEVELOPER!! Nintendo doesn't need to rely on awful ports or the even worse Tomb Raider, which everyone seems to want to buy for some reaason. Can someone tell me why people buy Tomb Raider? Please.

There aren't actually that many on GameCube...

i would hardly call mario party 4 a groundbreaking gamecube

Agreed.

and the same for the super monkey ball series.

Doesn't need to be groundbreaking to be good.

What the

Like Super Monkey Ball?

More games such as

True.

It is now clear that the gamecube can not

Nintendo never has survived off ports. Sure, games have been ported - but they're only as poor as the originals, but it by no means that Nintendo are surviving off them.

originality is the way ahead...

Agreed.

Ludwig? i dont really understand what you are getting at? Yes the gamecube has alot of exclusives but alot of them are quite chilidish and repetetive. For example mario sunshine and luigis mansion are just variations on a theme and the countless amounts of rubbish 3d platformers that disgrace the consoles name are growing out of control! i would hardly call mario party 4 a groundbreaking gamecube exclsuive and the same for the super monkey ball series. What the gameucbe needs is more uniqueness and originality. More games such as eternal darkness, Zelda and metroid prime need to be produced in order for the gamecubes success. It is now clear that the gamecube can not go on living off the back of poor ps2 ports and multi format movie tie ins. originality is the way ahead...

Lugwig shut the feck up you ejit.

Oh and Mav Winning Eleven Final Evolution can be purchase for the Cube which is better than Pro Evolution 2. That aside I still believe that between the Devil May Cry, Tenchu, Metal Gear and Smackdown games I will be happy for a while with the PS2 yet. Not really at anything other than Victorious Boxers and ICO outside of the games which I have previously listed. Possibly GTA Vice City but not before I get the other titles.
