"First year of PS2 a waste?"

I dunno if any1 is gonna agree with me on this one, but I think that the first year of the PS2 has been almost a waste of time, it started well with SSX, quake revolution was ok no online play though, GT3 is amazing and is well worth it, but what else!?? Tekken Tag, what a let down, driving emotion type S made me laugh and ridge racer 5 barely scraped past the finish line! Is that it, is that what £300 brings you over one year, there should be at least 40 top class titles to choose from! At least next year looks a lot more promising, with the likes of Metal Gear Solid 2, Tekken 4 and Devil May Cry in the pipeline the PS2 is looking up, but the fact remains that 1 year of the PS2's short lifespan has gone! Has the first year been a waste?

I just read that the Game Cube will b priced at 200 smackers! Is this true! Is that it, 200 british pounds, jjeeesseee !!!!!!!!

Id like to emphasize this part "some good quality titles released" SOME quality titles do not make a GOOD yr, there has to be lots of top class titles !

I must admit that when it was first released, I was slightly disappointed with the PS2's line up. But now it quite a few good games for it, some of which weren't really publicised well.

I love mech games, so if I had the money, the PS2 would be sitting around in my lounge right now, Gungriffon blaze (see my review) and ZOE are great fun and both have a good replay value. I know a lot of people had bought ZOE because of the infamous demo of MGS2 (and there's no denying that it has a certain draw!) but a lot have since found out how fun the game is (if a little short)

I still play on my mate's PS2 and the one in his shop, recently I've played Red Faction, GT3 and a few others, and I'd stand up and say that the PS2 is shaping up to be a pretty good machine, albiet slowly at first.

Ah, now Dr Claw seems like the type of SR Worker I like.

A PS2 owner, and he loves Smugglers Run!! It's great fun on multiplayer!!

And Fish-e, how dare you say the PS2 'sucks'?! I thought you were better than that...

Anyway, the PS2 has defintely not been a waste. I've watched many DVDs on there, as well as now owning 8 great PS2 games...apart from Shadow Of Memories, of course.

Yeah it was bad luck bout my GT3, im suffering withdrawal symptons! Anyway, at last PS2 owners are admitting that the first yr was pants, i know its looking up now but i think i should have waited a bit longer to see what was the best out of the new next gen consoles. I want some peeps who dont own the PS2 to post what console they want and why. Good reasons please!
