Anyway, why must Nintendo insist in these add-ons? Modems and HDDs are OK because they don't improve the graphics but with the Expansion Paks Nintendo are moving to a very dangerous PC-like situation. It's not in the spirit of consoles and it's cheating.
The PS2 is technically as good as the GC. MGS2 has already exceeded Nintendo's claims and because of the PS2's architecture, it will get better. Compare Tekken 1 to Tekken 3. I think you'll agree it's a mrked difference, and we'll see an even greater change with the PS2. The GC, however, will not get better. What you see now is what you get. Nintendo have already admitted that Eternal Darkness is pushing the machine to its limits.
And tat, my friend, is why you pay an extra £100 for the PS2. And, it'll be about the same price as the GC when it launches. Quite a bargain, I think you'll agree.
