The X-box is an interesting console. It will be the most powerful in the world when released and it should be good. But will it?

Recently some of the signs have not been good, increased interest in the GC which goes on sale 3 days before the X-box in the states. That could well lose the X-box some customers.

But the X-box does have a few tricks up its sleeve, DOA3 being X-box exclusive is one of them. Also Sega are meant to be finishing off the Shenmue series on X-box only. With sequels to some of the DCs greatest games at the moment appearing to be X-box exclusives then it should have quite a few good gams.

But the question is will you get one?

I know that I would like an X-box and I am convinced that it will be a good platform but it looks to me like GC will be the format I favour when it comes around to release time.

I would like to know who of you will get an X-box, who will not and who possibly will get one if finances stretch taht far.

So?

Nintendo don't want to fit hard disk drives etc cause its a games console, not a cheap PC.

The XBox should beat the GC. I mean the GC is a good console but it is TOOO small and Nintendo have no room to fit extras like hard disc drives, DVD addons, extra memory, modem...

The GC should beat the Xbox. I mean the Xbox is a good console but it is TOOO big and Microsoft have never produced a console before. They really don't have the experiance of Nintendo. Definatly a GC for me. Im gonna go to HMV in London for its launch and stay there all night so i can be one of the first people to get it.

errr... the DC used windows CE for some games... did u ever notice? no. even more to the point, xbox does not use windows... it uses direct X which destroys the need for a windows os. Which just goes to show how uninformed people are about xbox.

Why the hell do you want Windows, or even Linux on a Xbox? It's a games console for God's sake!

The Sony ethic:
It's a PlayStation, not a WorkStation.

A company founded by Grix back in the November of 2000.

It was a place where book, movies and games could come together and would be a place where all 3 would be created/published.

I was his first employee for many months with imagination and eagerness to make games (I think I probably gave him the idea.)

The fact that neither of us could program slowed the company down a fair bit and it ended up being all talk and went quiet.

I started putting it in FOG stories which annoyed Grix and that (along with the fact that I wasn't actually doing anything for the company) made me redundant.

Shortly afterwards he hired Fantasy Meister and I think he also got PB to help him with Swordspines first film production - based on the first FOG Story.

Both Grix and FM are learning C++. I am too and will re apply for a job when Grix trusts me again.

The main reason why Grix doesn't show here much anymore is due to him working on this production (unless he's ditched it over the last couple of weeks while I've been on holiday).

Enter Grix with Swordspines. lol

I'll get my job back as soon as I've learnt to program.
