When sony anounced that they were releasing the PS2 I thought that it would be the best thing since the SNES and could not wait to get one. But now that that it's here it seems to be quality starved and most of the games that I have played have poor gameplay or are sequels to popular PS1 games. Which is a good idea in theory but in reality these games are more or less the same but with improved graphics eg Tekken Tag, Ridge Racer and GT3. I just want to know if it realy is that bad, your opinions please.

Only non biased gamers post. (No phrases like PS2 is great because nintendo/microsoft suck)

The GC is nothing special. It's easy, simplistic and

I thought it said no biased posts?

At least Nintendo don't make their dev kits and their hardware so hard to program for that we only get poor quality games, unlike Sony.

Even though I like Sony/own a PS2, I am still a Ninty, and had to come back at that biased, childish outrage.

The PS2 is a miraculous piece of hardware, that's for sure. The problem is, the devvies are being a little lazy right now and are more interested in getting the games onto the shelves than anything.

The GC is nothing special. It's easy, simplistic and inflexible. A kid could make games on it, which says even more about Nintendo's attitude.

BUT, the PS2 wasn't all that special! This is what this topic is all about!

The GC has cheaper components because it comes out later and it isn't ground-breaking technology unlike the PS2. The PS2 will get cheaper and you'll probably find they will be about the same price when the GC is launched.

I know but why charge 270 for a console when the GC is coming out at least 100 quid cheaper!

They can't just "decide" to lower the price, you know.

The GC price is an absoulute blaster, £150 quid now I think. I have my savings at the ready and I even might reserve one. That’s why I don’t reserve things because they might be a pile of well lets just say not very nice.

Ok I’m off now

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
