I realise that some people on this forum (including myself) are planning to go to university next year, and I figured it'd be nice to see who was going and how far they have got with their UCAS application.

I received my confirmation letter from UCAS the other day to say they have received my application, all I can do now is wait..

The university's/courses I have applied for are

University of Lincoln: Games Computing
University of Lincoln: Computing
Sheffield Hallam: Software Development (Games) - Offer - not for this course, however
Northumbira University: Computer Games Software Engineering - Offer
Nottingham Trent University: Computer Science (Games Technology) - Offer

I have received 3 offers so far.

What universitys have you applied for? Had any offers/Rejections yet?

Define decent uni..

Anyway, I got an offer.

Sheffield Hallam - but get this, NOT for the course I wished to do!

Instead, I got offers for: -

Computing
Software Engineering
ICT

Not bad huh?

I would much rather the fees be based on how much your parents earn rather than how many hours you do, even after saying that, because otherwise we'd see even fewer people doing long courses with lots of hours. We've already got a shortage of NHS staff, and that would only make it worse.

Hm, missed this, may as well whack a reply up:

Cambridge (Emmanuel)
Edinburgh
Sheffield
Leeds
Newcastle
SOAS (School of Oriental and African Studies)

All to do Chinese Language, history and politics, with whatever name the various places give to the course.

Offers from Leeds, Sheffield and Newcastle thus far, and got a Cambridge interview in a month or so..
